We’re in this as he was a mad North fan.

The GC approach is definitely key. I feel we’d be in front of Hawthorn if we really wanted to push.

Have been told the Hawks interview didn’t go that well and he’s not keen on them. There is another club involved.

Second highest possession getter for Claremont to half time, with 12, then spent the rest of the game in deep defence. Peel looked to score most of their goals from shallow F50 entries, so most of their entries didn't go anywhere near Curtin.

I don’t want any wooden spoons let alone 3. I was at the footy today cheering as much as any NM supporter. I want NM to win every game we play in. If wet toast win, and we get the best young kid available in the draft I’m happy because it helps NM

• A small that can rove the contest.
• A two-way winger.
• Half backs that can kick.
• Half forwards that can kick goals against the flow.
• KPD. But this ties into how we setup. We need someone athletic.

So many holes that we continually give the opposition opportunity to exploit.

I think medium half forwards is one thing we can safely say we are with:

Zurhaar, Thomas, Ford, George, Curtis, Taylor, Harvey, Sheezel.
But we need at least 1 CHF.

We actually need more skilful mids as a priority.

If Wardlaw gets a full preseason + a new shiny gun mid most of our issues will be solved... cleaner ball use helps our attack and defence immensely.

I see Dylan Stephens went at 63% DE whilst racking up 68 metes gained today.

He'll fit right in, I guess.

Cunners got 20 + 2, played a great last game from something like 60% TOF. He also got -22 metres gained.

The stat is very important for some players. Completely irrelevant for others.

Whilst I agree with your point on Cunners, it’s a bit more relevant when we are talking about an outside winger.

Get Curtin, Mckercher & Watson with pick 2,3 & 4 aswell as Sanders with a pre selection.
If that happens I'd be looking at trading Ports pick for an experienced/proven player.
Would pick 16ish be about right for CJ?

While I am expecting improvement on win loss next year I think to trade our future first is madness. Reality is we are an injury or two away from being bottom two again in 24 even with improvement

In fact depending upon what happens re McKay, Sanders or any additional assistance scraps the afl toss our way. I would consider a good offer for the port pick to get an additional 1 in 2024 draft. With the gaps in our list we are still most definitely in the talent acquisition stage as to all eggs in one draft stage. If improvements next year faster than hoped for the additional 1 would be very useful in attracting a key piece in trading
