He is contracted until end 2024. If he wants out will cost us plenty.

There is a difference between trade and FA....

Have always heard Aust. nose beers aren't a patch on the foreign stuff sourced and enjoyed OS, can anyone qualify this?

If that’s true then the Suns probably don’t need him. Are these academy prospects top 10? Top 20? Are they similar height?

Bing would need to emphatically request a trade and convince the Suns that he would not be re-committing at the end of his contract (2024). In fairness to him, he has re-signed with them twice before and didn’t bail after his initial two years as a draftee.

He may be gettable. He looks like he’s struggling and may embrace a change, especially with the Suns continuing to struggle.

We'd have to trade in a future 1st or 2nd to match current AFL rules, then there's the problem of convincing Gresh (or pretty much anyone) to go to Gold Coast. Still don't see GC going for it either way

You'd also have to cross your fingers and hope that GC accepted the compo and didn't force a trade.

Only way that happens is if they finish at the bottom and we finish at the top e.g. Tom Lynch

Don’t really want him, I don’t see why we need another huge key forward. If he could play serious ruck then that would change the equation. Or I guess maybe we grab him as a key back to replace Dougs?

Agree, if Bing wants to be at the Saints- make it happen whenever he wants (this year, next year, or beyond).

Stamp out any hopes that any other team has about him and make it happen. I know the costs will be high but he is a marquee player that will draw crowds for a decade.

We'd have 5 players that would be in All Australian discussions. Wilkie, Sinclair, Wood, Higgins, Battle.

That's without our captain

Crouch in career best form.

Then there's our youth. Owen's, Phillipou, Windy, Nas etc

We've found a couple in Caminiti and Stocker

Clark is looking good.

All that is without Max King

. Potentially the most important player on our list.

This is miles ahead of where we've been at as a club for a long time.

I hope SOS/Ross make a dispassionate call on him. He'd be a nice addition but he's going to cost heaps in trade capital and cap space. He's still a player that is potential rather than a finished article. Joe Daniher looked like he was going to be one of the best forwards ever at the same age. Now you would find him frustrating more than exciting. You'd want to make a very calculated decision.

I want a list built to win a premiership rather than create a romantic one. Our history is littered with individuals over the team. Time to build a list.
