I know a few people who do radio and it's an art form that not everyone can do. It's surprisingly difficult to ad-lib and riff off each other while sounding like you know what's going on. People that communicate well don't necessarily make good media performers.

my son does a good impression of elmo the muppet, and he ended up doing stuff for an amateur radio station.
sometimes he got a bit lost with crap the others threw up, but he usually found a way to work his way through on air.

Banger can hardly string two words together in the media either. But has been rated an excellent assistant at multiple clubs.

One has no bearing on the other. Though yes some can do both.
