And it appears you were correct.

My thoughts were that we’ve lost some midfield depth and mids are easier to pluck out of the lower leagues. Particularly if we could find one with a bit of run/metres gained and score board impact who might play seniors quickly.

Finding a good young tall feels very hard in a mid season draft.

Anyway the club agreed with you. I know next years draft is currently considered very midfield heavy - so maybe that also came into their thinking.
