AwfulDo eagles have their F2 and F3 intact?
If we got those with Barass for our 2x F1 how would that look?
The smell around Yze can be seen by the number of players deserting the club.I don't mind their strategy. Our goal was to hit the draft over 3 years with 7-9 top 30 picks. They'll essentially do the same in one off season. They'll stink for a few years but will have the lure to potentially trade and top up when the time is right. Not sure about Yze though.
I live in Queensland.. there are any number of reasons why I’d prefer to live in Melbourne… Queensland has nice weather but it’s got its own issues, believe me..

Teams will assume Blues finish higher because of an as-yet-undetermined 18 year who may or may not play games with them next year?Teams will be interested in Haws F1 and not the Blues F1. Blues have pick 3 to go with their strong list on paper.
So teams will bet on them to finish higher than us.

Needs to be able to build and maintain the right culture despite the losses. That's what has been so impressive about the Hawks maintaining a culture that people enjoyed coming to the club even during the losing years under Mitchell.I don't mind their strategy. In my stalking of other team boards they talk about getting our F1 and not the Blues F1. I would say my assumption is fair.Teams will assume Blues finish higher because of an as-yet-undetermined 18 year who may or may not play games with them next year?
I really doubt that is an assumption other teams will make. Any trade will be more about OUR perception of where we will finish.
The question is can they drag Hodgey away from the lifestyle he seems to be so much enjoying in Queensland.L.Hodge has an offer to return to Hawthorn as a part time mentor/work on leadership
Ordinary player carried by a great team. Slept with the light on, soft as butter.Seems like an arrogant prick, just like he came across as a player. Has got an easy job at Geedroit aswell, just offering out under the table deals. The land has to run out eventually.
Hawthorn will add Lewis, Battle and most likely Barrass to the best 22 from last year, Carlton will add an 18 year old. Are you really suggesting they improve more on paper?Teams will be interested in Haws F1 and not the Blues F1. Blues have pick 3 to go with their strong list on paper.
So teams will bet on them to finish higher than us. We should disassociate our pick 14 trade with any trade offers
We need to play on those views and so Pick 14 is more than fair value for just our F1, ideally we get something back if teams have picks at the back end we can use for our NGA pick.
I don't get this line of thinking? We are no worse off than any other club vying to get his signature. No-one else has particularly more assets to use. We have more cap space than most. The main thing that hinders us is we rarely have decent players wanting to leave, so it's harder to bring in first rounders (blessing and a curse in this case). Harder, but not impossible.
We also have the Wiz getting in his ear telling him how great Hokball is!
Also, I wouldn't be buying into the media, WC aren't unreasonable to deal with. They are not Freo/Essendon/Geelong.
What if we can package them up with another F2 to get a first rounder back?Awful

If we do go down that path, I would want their future second and 26 back.
I doubt it though. We haven't entertained two firsts the entire period.

C.Hodge hopefully follows in-tow![]()
Why wouldn’t they ask for 2024 1st and 2025 1st?Would MM strike twice ?
Imagine if he traded out a F1 now for a 2024 1st rounder ? Where would that leave the Eagles
Leaving them with only one F1 left to ask for
It’s done but it’s fun to play around
Tigs will be a club to put some work into re. their youngsters over the next few years to see if we can pinch any good ones who are disillusioned with the club. The smell around Yze can be seen by the number of players deserting the club.
Will be surprised if he makes it through 2025, because I think they’re going to have no wins and an average losing margin of 80 points by the bye.
beautiful Brisbane
Exactly.
And Carlton's depth will take a sizable hit with Owies , Martin ,Marchbank and possibly Kemp and Kennedy departing.
Not to mention an aging list and giving up so many future draft picks.
They are delusional if they think they will improve in the next couple of years
The question is can they drag Hodgey away from the lifestyle he seems to be so much enjoying in Queensland.
