What I want called again is absolutely no touching of a player after they mark the ball it's all over the place again. It would do so much to speed things up, at the moment ref's pull a free kick and 50 out there are but if someone isn't I'm the marking contest they shouldn't be allowed to breath on the player until play on is called

My favourite is the good old defender tackling a player to ground after they've marked it.

It's not even a legitimate way to contest in a marking contest like a late spoil/bump/push to the side so it should be a 50 every single time.

He just regurgitates the same points after every game (despite not wacthing most of our games). Not worth listening to.

Yes, this did speed the game up and they have gone back to selective enforcement. Sometimes a full hold up is fine, sometimes a touch is a fifty metre penalty.

Exactly - they should keep the rule and go back to enforcing it 100% of the time.

I think the calling STAND was as it was a new rule . thewy trying to help players. now it a rule been there for some time so no need to CALL STAND. just let the player remember the rule and call 50 if he moves.

I think YES they need to call 50m more often.

Noticed it was in the whistle as well. Couple of short blasts when the player was “on the mark”

To be fair

Darcy was poo on Friday, incredibly unfit and was being beaten by Cox.

The unicorn has had an average season with a few decent games in between

Due to Darcy being injured so much, the midfield looked off trying to adjust back to Darcy's style

And Dogga is also trying to adjust back to a forward

This is tricky, if a player is running towards goal when they take a mark, the defender has to be able to stop them, because the attacker would otherwise be free to run past the defender and their momentum is going in opposite directions.
The defender has the right to stop the forward motion of the attacker and force them to go behind the mark.

Sadly too many people who are "FANS" get their minds set by this type of Statistics and not looking at the bigger pictures.

not jsut relevent to JAckson / Darcy. But statistics dont tell the whole story of any player or team

People dont rate certain players as they not kicking enough goals. they not getting enough possessions. they dont hear commentators call that players name enough

Statistics can be used for or against a players true perfomance.
