All Australian is broken because the selectors are cowards. Inside mids are fetishised and outside players (who are equally critical to a successful team) are overlooked. They justify it by sticking an inside mid out there who “you could imagine being a good winger”.

Have the balls to pick 3 centre bounce mids, 2 wingers, and true half forwards and back flankers. Heck stick two more inside mids on the bench if you must.

Yeah well 36 of his goals are against bottom sides doing a quick count, but seems to be a default pick.

Waterman had a good first half of the season, he dropped off and missed games though in the second half. an odd pick.

No doubt Jakovich pushed his case hard though and the other selectors were probably too scared to disagree with him.

I don't have a problem with McGovern getting a nod for West Coast though even if he missed games late in the season too.
