Article did say Kangas would need another top 10 pick AND something else. Power don’t even have a top 10 pick and even if getting Blues 13 for Houston probably won’t satisfy Kangas who then possibly miss their first target (KPP)

Either way, with Smith, FOS, Lalor and Draper it seems we are just within the can’t miss section that we will be happy with any of these guys and can’t see us trading up to 2 or 3 as giving uo far too much to get this done most likely
They also want that club's F1 so will give that pick if Houston select them and not their own F1.

You’d think if st kilda were wanting to over pay they’d go 8 and F1 not 7&8

If Houston is worth 2 firsts, one of them is not 8. If it's that high then it's 8 and a second at best. That said, he's contracted and happy to stay and they have the cap space and are technically contending. So I guess they hold the whip hand.

If St Kilda come into the picture for Houston, then something like their pick 8 + f2 for houston could fly. Port then offer their f1 + st kilda f2 to GC for their pick 13. Picks 8 & 13 for pick 3 and there is draper for them
Geez, pick #8 on it's own is generous enough for Houston.

Find it hard to split Tomic and Kyrgios
Yeah, both flogs.

Can't believe some spend so much time arguing who is the bigger flog...

We know this to be false though as he was part of a midfield group that made it to the grand final and was our B&F for the season.

Imo, post 2017 it seemed like Crouch tried to become more of an outside player who would collect those 'cheap' touches. The issue being is he often took speed off the game and isn't known for his damage by foot.

Coming back to when he came back into the side in 2023 and again this season, he's focused more on his contested game and feeding it to those around him to let them do the damage. This has resulted in career high contested possession % numbers, center clearances, clearances, disposal efficiency and lowest kick to handball percentages.

People are quick to moan about Crouch having low meters gained stats but honestly, do we want Crouch to be racking up meters gained at the expense of those around him?

And yeah, I'm sure we'd love the full package that can win it and damage by foot but they've proven difficult to come by. I think if Crouch can continue on the same path as his 2023/2024 seasons, he's still got a bit to offer the team.

Which competing midfields have a low impact accumulator that can't spread forward or back?

Hang on, you are doing exactly the same thing that you accuse others (including me) of doing. The argument is circular. None of us are ever going to win it. I’ve finally come to that realisation. Perhaps you both need to too?
Circular? He's never tried to curtail someone's right to an opinion because it doesn't meet his positivity standards, only you do that 😃

You even played a very strong part in having sanders banned for that reason yet his friend mostyn doesn't seem to appreciate that 😃

Agreed. 2 late firsts (say 15 and 18) is very different to 2 firsts including a top 8 pick in a very even draft field.

Power have done some very good deals with Davies like JHF/Rioli for effectively 8 and 15 combined was one of the all time steals. Let’s hope other teams have woken up to them. Most likely Houston goes to Blues or Pies. If Blues, pick 13 and a F2 is about right and fair value in my eyes

I've been given infractions from all our mods bar 1 (I won't even bother mentioning mods on other boards), does that mean I'm being targeted by all of them?

TBF - I've deserved all of them, and on more than few occasions knew I'd be infracted when posting a reply

About the only thing I'd question is the size or severity on a few of them - c'est la vie

He'll probably be allowed back after a reasonable holiday

There are mods on others boards who were perma banned in previous incarnations of their lives here
Probably this is where sanders goes wrong he's probably too proud to think he ever deserved a single infraction 😄

They were made to pay last year. Ratugolea and Soldo, ouch.

Carlton are only interested because Houston is up for sale.

It's not a good time to be selling. Draft picks in this strong draft are being valued at a premium. Clubs also are wary of Tasmania coming in soon.

So far Houston is playing along with this line he is happy to stay, how long does that last when the Power refuse to negotiate?

Yeah don't think so. I remember when we had picks 8 and 13 and enquired about St Kildas pick 3 and were laughed out of the room.

Both North and West Coast want to trade out of where they are keen for Grandfather offers, not silly ones

The issue with Crouch isn't so much whether he's good at his role, it's that we have a bunch of other players to develop

Crouch turns 30 shortly into next season and, if we're being honest, is not part of our premiership team

We have to develop a pick 4 midfielder, Curtin, and Edwards, we've just traded in Peatling and Rankine should return to the side in a midfield role. We've also got to keep developing Soligo in an inside role, Taylor, etc.

It's all well and good to want to play Crouch, but he has zero versatility so will always been occupying a role that should be used on someone that will be there for our next premiership.

I guess you can point to 2017 as a finals midfield that worked with Crouch in there... but that will be 8 seasons ago.
