Fagan started in 2017 but you have to remember there was 3 years of garbage before his arrival. There were 2 maybe from that 2015 list that played on Saturday. Extrapolate that out to us and our next Flag list will look nothing like who starts in Rd 1 2025, unless there is a miraculous turn around which is what we all hope for

Look who they bring in around that time too. Luke Hodge and Charlie Cameron (pick 12) in 17/18, but lose Rockliff to FA. The next year they bring in Lachie Neale for a bunch of picks including pick 6.

Lol nah, he's being massively underrated. He's a top 3 general defender in the league and has an absolute wand of a right peg. We should be doing everything possible to get him

He hasn’t had the year he would have wanted but I think draft watchers say he’s been the best defender coming through for his age group for a long time. Runs, can kick and is good defensively. Can go forward too.

If he lasted to our second rounder I think we would have to take him.

Could probably understand your statement if he was 18-23 years old but he is 27 turning 28 in the middle of next year, probably about the time most people start getting serious - and yes I get he signed the contract at Port but maybe he met her since, I’m not sure.

We have a terribly history of being in overhyped experienced players who don’t contribute. Better bet a top 5 pick so we can “win faster”.

Houston notwithstanding, let's not forget the extremely funny Ivan Soldo situation where he moved to Port for greater opportunity, but his partner, a supposedly famous Instagram influencer, hated it so much she made public comments about how she hated it, moved to Dubai to get away from South Australia, then moved back to support Soldo but got so sick of SA again that he is now requesting a trade to Victoria. Oh and Jordon Sweet had his spot as well for some reason.

I think I agree... I think he might just be the best non key defender in the game. For 5 years with us, what is that actually worth? Probably pick 5. Port would be looking it from the angle of all the failed picks around pick 5 - paddy down, Elijah tsatsis.... Dylan Stephens... where we look at the bontempellis and sheezels around that pick. This one ain't a clear cut one. Plus throw in with Houston/Parker then LDU probably signs. Then we don't get a FA pick so go hard as nails at Balta- who sees parkr/ldu/Houston plus our young guns and goes... far out that might be a premiership team.

Is it risky? Yes. Gotta be in it to win it. And we for sure as shit haven't been in it for a long time.


Imagine if the polec gamble paid off and dusty and Kelly also came like they were supposed to? And gaff? Didn't work. We also didn't have a Harry sheezel...

I would imagine there's no shortage of suitors that want our 2025 R1. Why wouldn't Port take it and then try to flip it for another two picks in this year's draft? Cowards.
