Only if they finished bottom. If they finished 3rd bottom say, then they risk burning the pick anyway matching a Cochrane bid.

I think it should have happened already. There is a lag, and we won't see the true impact of these high academy picks for a few years yet. Meanwhile they continue to accumulate more.

The draft and salary cap are the only 2 equalisation measures the AFL have...and they are destroying one of them and we know players take less to stay at the top.

Also another to link us to Ludowyke.

Ludo is an interesting one…great size and should fill out with his big frame, reasonable athlete and a fluent albeit inconsistent kick. Willing to apply defensive pressure too. Also very young, turns 18 on draft night.

Still prefer Marsh by some way though and that’s without considering the local factor.

Ludo is prone to double grabbing and a real confidence player. For a bloke his height he drops too many marks.

Prefer Marsh. Surely we take Schubert ahead of Ludowyke if we are going taller.

He didn't play 100 games for Adelaide that's why he isn't a Father Son, any SANFL games Ben played would not have counted and if he played in Victoria it's the same, he didn't play 100 AFL games for a club he played 48 AFL games for us and 7 AFL Games for Richmond

Marsh looks good, second and third efforts, field kicking, stands up in a marking contest, will grow into a big strong boy in a few years. His versatility - forward or wingman, and presumably good do key defence too, makes him a smart pick.

Big tank too.

Gets at least one season to learn from Tex, then gets to follow in the path big Riley laid down.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the 200 game mark for Adelaide was only for players playing SANFL before we joined the AFL. Hence why we missed out on Gibbs. For anyone that played for our afl team it’s just the 100 mark
