to add to this as well, he actually uses his attributes. Something so many don't.Grill has an athletic mix that many do not have. a sub 6 min 2km and a 2.90 odd 20metre sprint is cooked.
Watch at the 50 second mark. Nothing like Seamus at all.
Look at the class he has to step two opponents and square it up, after being involved in the back pocket.

Grlj & Barker please and thank you10 Grlj
22 Barker
i'll be doing cartwheels
Lewis is 27, Chol is 28, Gunston is from the Neolithic era and Ramsden is no guarantee to make it at AFL level. If anything we're in a good position to take a key forward and let them develop at Box Hill for a few years.Love the Grjl talk. God, I hope he's the one we take.
But Heatherton? No. Lewis, Dear Gunston Chol Ramsden , seriously? Take Barker or Greeves and pump the fist.
On first viewing of Will Day's highlights I was unimpressed.I haven't followed this thread and know hardly anything about this draft. I think people ought not to get too carried away watching highlights clips.
For one thing, the level of competition varies.
But more importantly, there is always stuff you don't see. When we drafted Will Day we already had about 15 half backs and his highlights were uninspiring at best, lots of chipping around the back.
Was very much not impressed at the time. But looking back it was the obvious choice.
there are a few options there anyway, M Marsh*, A Ludowyke, A Schubert*, *more highly fancied/rated higher but yeah, there are big wraps on the kid, atleast his athletic too with his height, that is the unknow isn't it, would one of these unknowns be still available at pick 59. We have so many options anyway, there will probably be another good small forward too. I get what others are saying for project players normally take them at 3rd or 4th round, not first.Lewis is 27, Chol is 28, Gunston is from the Neolithic era and Ramsden is no guarantee to make it at AFL level. If anything we're in a good position to take a key forward and let them develop at Box Hill for a few years.
Same with the Noah selection last year.Lewis is 27, Chol is 28, Gunston is from the Neolithic era and Ramsden is no guarantee to make it at AFL level. If anything we're in a good position to take a key forward and let them develop at Box Hill for a few years.
Would be happy if Grlj fell through to us ….. I really like the way he continuously/consistently zips around trying to stay involved always creating an option to transition the ball out of congestion. He’s quick with clean touch
Grlj has that honeybadger vibe that very few outside players have.Grill going to be a regular 30 vote Brownlow accumulator
Instead of going a KPFIf we can't get Sharp, Grlj is a good secondary option imo, a good fit for us with what we currently need.
If we can steal Schubert or Marsh with our 2nd pick, I'll do a happy dance at home lol

I agree with you, if Ollie Greeves is there at our second pick I think we'd snap him up. He has been talked down to the point where we are taking a project player ahead of him... no way. 35 disposals, 14 marks and 4 goals in the prelim. We can work with the potential defensive deficiencies.Grlj first is great. I like Hetherton and we need a tall forward to develop in the vfl with Scaife gone and McCabe likely to settle back. But he’s not a pick 27 we could easily get him in the late 30s. And with Schubert the pick before and ludowyke still available I can’t believe they wouldn’t take barker. Without the acl he’s top 10 he’s the injury player we should be taking the risk on then a speculative tall last even trade up if needed. If we traded 10 for 13 and 34 we miss Grlj but could take NHH then get barker and ludowyke/hetherton. We are well placed.
And the four firsts we offered them are also guns
