If Steele moves, it'll be because we've guaranteed him midfield time. Him and Viney playing together and pushing out a Langford or Rivers would be terrible.

What players got taken at these picks in the end?

In 2023 Adelaide traded up to get Curtin, and GWS used that pick on Phoenix Gothard. But O'Sullivan and Caddy were the picks before that, and we were also keen on trading up in that draft. Adelaide's 2024 pick ended up being 4, used on Sid Draper.

What is most mind melting about interest in Steele is if Clayton Oliver has zero position flexibility and that's part of the reason you don't want him (totally agree) why would you want Steele?

For the super DYNAMIC midfield of Viney and Steele running into each other at every throw up.

On playing ability we all know Oliver > Steele but I think its becoming evidently clear that this is the culture reset decision more then the playing perspective.

As Bluelegs said, it looks very similar to when we picked up Daniel Cross back in the day.
