Morris knows this info as fact.

Essendon don't need to do anything.

We need our best and only offer (which I think Essendon still say no to) so they can sell it.

Personally I think Essendon know we overpay. This is the time to make our play of our best offer and be prepared to walk away to other targets, Merrett approached us, he hasn't and for some reason won't make a request.

Today is the day, otherwise we're going to spend the rest of our time potentially missing out on plan B.

for those who have been asking about the draft or thinking we should just take pick 8

I put myself through some Trade Radio on my way to work this morning and Tom Morris this morning said he had been hearing so much that the draft is a shocker that he thought it was simply someone heard it and passed it on so he decided to ask some team recruiters and was told by them all that it is one of the worst if not the worst draft they have ever seen.

This might be holding up deals as teams will want future picks over picks in this draft. They also wont want 2027 picks necessarily as thats the first Tassie draft

He would have understood the ramifications of talking to us and how hard it would be to try and get out. He would also understand we aren't dumb enough to blow up our list to get him. If that's what they want he'll be back in the red and black next year. Good luck to him and that small club.
