Rules of engagement:

Nope, it wasn't about hypothetical trades, but they keep inferring something fishy about Frenchie not getting games because of a possible trade.
That's complete nonsense; the best side would always be selected. To suggest that Sam and the selection committee would not select Frenchie is insulting to all involved.
That was the push back.
It wasn't a pile on, unless you think many people pushing back is a pile on, then the pile on was warranted.

The way I read it they were inferring that Frenchie not being selected meant he was going to be traded. I didn't agree with it either I don't think they were inferring anything fishy about it.

Re "the best side would always be selected", there have been rumblings about Sam's selection earlier in the season too, especially regarding players excelling at BHH but not getting picked for Hawthorn. It's just people's point of view and I'm sure Sam and the players couldn't care less about any such noise from outside the club's four walls.

Harley has always been the number one priority. Sam absolutely loves the way he goes about it. At 20 years of age, he's someone you facilitate three first rounders plus a player for. If we land him, and I've been big on this happening all the way through, that would be it for us in this trade period. If not, the Trac move will be on the cards.

We won't be actively looking to move Mackenzie out mate. It's a very hard team to break into. If Cam wants to look at his options , and there are more than a few, then we may entertain it .
