This TDK thing has turned into such an unexpectedly terrible cluster****.
  • His form has fallen off completely this year thanks to being played out of position.
  • We have two young rucks on the list who now look promising.
  • Our senior ruck is still going great.
  • We offered TDK more than we should have and now have another guy who needs even more money.
We were all pretty happy earlier in the year when we were getting him but now it feels like "cut your losses" territory.
Carlton fc are a rabble, so no incentive for TDK-cassettes & tapes to play at his best.
Next year he will fully offload on his talent & become the no.1 ruckman in the league.
At his best, he has what we need, great tap ruckman, strong contested marking & aggression at the contest.
And only 26 y.o, so still has 7 to 8 years to play out.

No idea.

Nothing we get short of Butters is going to be good enough.
And there’s no guarantee he wants to come to us.
Even if he does agree to come back to Victoria, there are probably other clubs than ours on his Wishlist.

Then Port gives us the king's ransom they get for Butters. Apparently he is worth 4 first rounders.

And why would they get rid of their own star to bring in another one.
The idea is to build, not swap away your good players.
One in, one out is not going to move the needle.
Even our mate Cornes says they’re not going to trade Butters.

Well then they lose Butters next year for a shittier deal when he is a restricted free agent.

Yeah, but we don’t only want picks. Or future picks.
It’s a compromised draft AND it takes a few more years to develop whoever we get when we’ve put 4 years into NAS already.

Not for me.

This is the biggest decision Nas will ever make and he has a lot of things he needs to consider.
Whatever he decides to do will have a huge impact on his life.
He needs to consider his family and friends and where he would like to live.

He should be given all the time and privacy he needs to carefully arrive at the correct decision 🥰

Then again, we are supporters…

AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW RIGHT NOW!!! 😬🤪

Can someone please tell him that Adelaide will still be there in 10 years time?

If Windy and Nas walk, Sos needs to be shown the door.
im not necessarily agreeing, would have to know that he was the cause, but lets say its shown that he is at fault, then Lyon surely has to follow him out in your scenario?he got him to the club?

Probably waiting on NAS. If NWM goes then Windhager knows theres at least $1.5+ mil of cash that St.Kilda need to spend.
Windy also improving by the week.
Maybe his manager is holding as well?

Would we consider Georgiadies and Bergman?
I like Georgiadies but he's not a magnet mover with what we already have. No point upgrading a Sharman type from a B- to a B+ if our ball movement completely drops away due to losing our midfield/half back star.

Bergman was very average after signing his extension. Went from an exciting proposition to very meh quickly. We'd probably consider him but I wouldnt want to be building the deal around him.

I need to stop looking but port fans are saying they will finish lower than us so we can't threaten to send him to the PSD.

A great idea until he nominates the crows over them bc they are that bad
i posted about that the other day,we need to cover our axxes on that one, imagine naz asks to be traded to port,we finish 11th,port offer us 2 f1's and berry or whitlock,we tell them to get stuffed, naz gets marched to psd,we miss all the top mids again in the main draft due to finishing so high, like with ball everyone lets him pass by in the psd, port pick him up?

there is no way we can deny being the biggest losers all time if that were to eventuate,at least finish lower that port to take that scenario away, but no we will bask in the glory of beating sxxt truck teams & only just beating the first 2 mind you & leave ourselves open to this

Out of contract players.

Angus McLennan - delist
Arie Schoenmaker - borderline keep, is improving and has a weapon not many possess
Dougal Howard - borderline keep, defensive depth at worst
Harry Boyd - delist
Isaac Keeler - keep
Jack Carroll - - borderline keep, a lot of untapped potential there
Jimmy Webster - delist
Liam O'Connell - keep
Liam Stocker - keep
Marcus Windhager - keep
Max Heath - keep
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - keep
Ryan Byrnes - borderline keep, is a good age and on field leader who understands game plan better than most
Zaine Cordy - delist
Zak Jones - delist

With what looks like a minimum of 2 incomings in TDK and Leek, those guys sitting on borderline keep might be in trouble.

We may well lose a couple of contracted players which would change this conversation.

Looking at this list, we dont have many spots open on the main list. If Nas leaves, 3 first rounders would mean some players would be unlucky but wont be offered a spot.

If Butters goes this year as part of the Nas trade IF there is one, it would be to a club that can generate what would be of benefit to St Kilda as well as PA. Hawthorn for example would love him and currently have Pick 6 and 12.

However if Nas wants to play finals he will go for the Crows, rather than Port who have a long rebuild in front of them.
