I have never been really happy with an offer to a good but not dominate ruckman, understood what they were trying to achieve, but conditions change. With the rise of NWM and the development of Heath, Keeler, and the absolute potential.of Dodson, as well as Marshall, it is absolute folly to offer that money when that position is looking one with the most depth wevhavechadvin decades.
So we look at that and decide that it is now a very poor offer and you think it is clever to call us idiots

I guess it is silly of me to assume that we could have one nice thing. While I hope I’m wrong, this week was probably the most opportune time to re-sign following Nas’ heroics against the Dees - and we’ve finished the week less confident. Nas leaving would be the toughest trade to stomach in my lifetime, cause we will get nowhere near his value and the whole league will gleefully shit on us and dance on our grave. I reckon there will be a few tired supporters wondering what is the point. If he does decide to go home, I don’t blame him but it will be an awful loss. I guess we will soldier on and go again, but good luck selling hope.

As an aside, no player is bigger than the club or the team. If Nas leaves so be it, it’ll suck watching him play in Adelaide but having great individuals guarantees us nothing more than the joy to watch them.
Riewoldt was a top 3 CHF of all time, and we didn’t win a premiership with him. If Nas wants to leave because his mum needs him home then we sell high and move on.

I think for the sanity of this forum Nas either needs to give us "I've put off contract talks till the end of the season" or sign a contract. Give people time to grieve / celebrate and move on with their lives

For what it's worth, I went to one of these events awhile back and Max King was supposed to be there, but he'd had a setback with his rehab (I know - shocking) and he clearly didn't want to spend an evening talking about his injuries - so we found out when we arrived that he'd been replaced by Rowan Marshall.

My guess is, unless Nas has signed, he will not be at this event lol

Yeah there is no way this is going ahead if he hasn't committed to us already.

Imagine a room full of Saints fans all just asking him when he's signing/why he isn't staying.



The whole Nas camp has been leak proof so far, which tells me it's a good operation... so they aren't sending him into the lions den unsigned.

He either signs with us or cancels this

The media genuinely don't know anything. I can't emphasize this strongly enough and how important it is.

I really do think this is a great sign for the Saints. I feel like, if Nas had met with Port or the Crows, we'd know about it. If Port or the Crows were genuinely trying to construct a trade, we'd know about it. If he'd bought a house in Adelaide, we'd know about it. And the media don't know anything.

The fact that nothing substantial is known tells me he genuinely hasn't made a decision (and isn't even entertaining courting from Port/Crows at this stage) OR the only people involved in this situation are St Kilda/Nas/Ben Williams.
