Think you're not taking into consideration the wishes of the player. Can't see him nominating Adelaide as where he wants to play and then shipping off to Perth or Brisbane or anywhere else. Not going to happen.
Look I don't think he will even make it to a PSD, however if he did has to go to whoever selects him. That's what a draft is.
If he doesn't, he is no longer a registered AFL player.

Imagine if Caro got told by Benny Williams that Nas refuses to play in the same team as Tex. Only issue is that SOS has completely misread the situation and he's going to draft that arseh*le pretty boy Wanganeen cousin of his!

If your Williams you wouldn’t take the risk of the draft. You would want to make sure the clubs could get it done. They can’t

So if Nasiah nominates port, and we have to accept whatever port offer, why wouldn't they just offer their lowest pick...? The answer to that is that the offer needs to appear to be reasonable.

Presumably the AFL Commission decides what is reasonable, and exactly where they set that bar determines whether Nas stays or goes. But they like us don't they?

Kye Fincher- Saints academy- h.b.f & might be able to transition to a wing where his damaging footskills could be better utilized.
Needs to develop more of a defensive mindset.
His APS coach was very complimentary on his season in the Herald Sun this week. He's played as a pure mid there while not really featuring there at Sandy or at Vic Metro. Although it's a lower level, he might be fmore suited to the midfield based on his school form.

Fincher is a Saints-tied NGA prospect in his draft year and has been in fine form, he was strong in the middle and hit the scoreboard in the second half with a pair of nice goals.

“Fincher has put together one of the best schoolboys seasons that I’ve been involved in,” McPhee said.

“He just keeps getting the footy, he’s competitive, he’s clean, he’s leading well, he’s just had a really good year.”

Might be a St Kilda masterclass at hiding NGA talent so we don't look hypocritical :p

Butters to us won't happen. We will need to obfuscate the trade somehow.

Dunno how.

There's probably only 5 players in the league that would appease us given NAS recent form.

We would need a bonfide match winning mid which they aren't many of those left anymore.

If they're not in that calibre its going to look too GOP like for saints supporters unless it comes with two very good picks. Top 5 ish.

Dont see why a player would agree to the trade tbh.

Thanks for this!!!

how's rance going tonight?

edit: didnt realise the thread was already poppin off on it
Battle is not a CHB for the last time, he is a flanker who’s slow, but a good mark/kick and is tough. He might have played a couple of games against big monsters (got killed by the way), but no way he is a key back.

Wilkie on the other hand plays key back every game. Even Tarau is playing manning genuine key forwards.

The needle on the G0-or-Stay meter seems to be swinging back towards GOing again.
He can't say he is leaving, because it just wouldn't be workable if he did.
He can say he'll stay, but he won't.
So he says nothing.
He's going.
Prepare yourselves.
Listen, I know this is unreasonable, but is that a zero instead of an O in "GO-Stay" meter?

If not butters, then Bergman + Berry + Whitlock + Sinn, still not happy?

Yeah the QB situation is worst as I can remember since Aaron Brooks.
Going to the states in 40 days to first go to Vegas to see 80’s hard rock bands Cinderella and LA Guns then flying to Buffalo for 3 weeks for weeks 3,4 & 5 for the last year at Highmark stadium. First time going to the NFL live. Thinking of taking a saints jumper and try to get it to Josh Allen. I think Bills history is more aligned with our Saints. Go BILLS. 🦬🏈

Can't wait for all this theorising over Butters Bergman etc to end when Nassie re-signs <3
Yes, he may resign still. However you want to spin this, the fact is with a lucrative contract in front him, he still doesn’t sign and has given no indication of signing soon. This says something about his commitment to this football club, I want a player to want to play for us. Yes, i know football is a business now, signing a 2 year contract (like Bergman did at port) should not be this difficult unless you really really wants to go back home.

Piling up the trash ain't gonna do it

We need quality not quantity

We have quantity. 1/3 of our list is utter trash we hope can become best 22. Dont need to pad that out.

Amazing that Essendon have two and could have three top ten picks.

This highlights the issue at play with Nas. We absolutely need to demand 3 top ten picks for him. The Power and Crows have nothing to use.

This is our main leverage in this scenario. There is no way those teams get close to his value.
Bring Dodo back to pick the bombers players please!!!

Anyone got any ITKs?!?!?
