Either SOS is destroying this club or most of this is manager's big noting themselves. I do laugh at the lack of knowledge from so called "experts"....
And from reporters from WA and SA that the likes of Edmund and Morris are jumping on the backs of like it’s gospel.

And will be captain next year.
Roo pretty much said that on Agenda tonight.
But all the player managers are getting in on the action now.
Was really bad to advertise our embarrassment of riches.
We’ve had a war chest for years, only now has a top target wanted to actually join us.

We don’t have the luxury of the big clubs working within the wage bill, we needed to try something different and I’m for it.

Plain old boring St Kilda for 15 years have gone absolutely no where, let’s make some moves and rattle cages.

Some interesting things in Ralph’s article
- The club still believes it is on track to secure him (Nas) on a two-year term given it is still in negotiations on the figure to retain him rather than being put off on a contract delay.

  • Geelong is coming hard for Marshall
  • St Kilda’s view is that coach Ross Lyon has told the players about the club’s plans and that making big splashy trades will actually put the senior players in the premiership window.
That doing nothing in a massively compromised draft landscape would consign those 28-years-and-older players to irrelevancy.
St Kilda wants to keep Marshall but has clearly war-roomed a scenario where TDK arrives and Marshall demands a trade.
And there is a world where they get free agent De Koning in and secure a Cats first-rounder for Marshall to get back into the draft.
It would be the Saints version of ‘pick purchasing’ – paying an extra $700,000-$800,000 a year for a ruckman but potentially securing a first-round pick.

- St Kilda will get on with negotiating with Windhager and considering if captain Jack Steele is tradeable while also hunting more experienced mids as a fall-back plan in case Wanganeen-Milera does depart.

- List bosses Stephen Silvagni and Graeme Allen are trying to bridge the gap between old-school methods and the new-age thinking of players, prepared to put some noses out of joint if it gets St Kilda back up the ladder.

There are 2 Geelong players we should be open to a conversation with re Marshall and Geelong before a first rounder discussion.

1. O'Sullivan
2. De Koning II

Come on fellas, you know this is coming from Ben Williams. We're too smart for this kind of thing.
Spot on.
Both Williams and Rucci obviously Port supporters.
It’s a beat up.
But, why not - let’s all bash the Saints

Its not mental gymnastics

The fundamental idea is that the meda need clicks

Higher offer to a rival player = more clicks

Lowballing current player and causing trade rumours = more clicks
Incredible that they don’t seem to do it nearly as much for other clubs.

Never seen more ****ing smoke coming from a club about its list nearly 2 months before any player movement will actually happen.

Like his namesake, Michelangelo Rucci is an artist.

Just his medium is his own shit and his canvas is his bedroom walls.

The rumours on steele wanting a trade are BS. Doesn’t make sense. Why would he go from a club he has battled at to get on the right track, just as they are looking to turn a corner to go to a basket case in west coast and start again.

He wants to stay in the show and Windy/Nas/Garcia/Boxshall/Hall/Phillipou are coming

Negative rant incoming.
Surely surely they can't f*** this up. Made a big fanfare of giving him the number 2, setting him up as a model of the kind of standards and values the club wants to stand for. Now we're lowballing him but offering an average ruckman 1.7mil p.a, bidding for an average back who's not really tall enough to be a KPD and can't get a regular game and on the verge of losing the best player we've had since Roo. Oh jaysus, STKFC is a clusterf***. Oh yeah, our marquee player with an 8 year contract has played 1/3 of possible games in the past three years, can't get on the park and is looking all the world like an injury bust, whilst his brother, selected two picks later, is second on the Coleman list and will kick 60+ this year. Our brand, to quote RTB after Saturday's rubbish, "is a bit all over the shop at the moment." Why TF after 21 rounds is it all over the shop? Serious doubts about Ross Lyon as a coach. Dour, scrappy, poorly skilled would be generous in describing how we play. And now scraping over the line in three consecutive games for wins against shyte opposition which will ensure we finish middle 6, get a shyte fixture next year and by the time all the academy and FS bullshit is out the way, our 'first round' pick will be 13. Again. That WCE loss was just about the last straw for me and it hasn't got much better. Calling therapist.
This is the way

How exactly does having a casual conversation with Gil after the game equal bringing in big guns to convince him to stay?
Honestly, Morris is like an ambulance chaser.

I like that we've gone from "is Nas going to stay?" to "is anyone going to stay?". A nice plot twist for a fanbase already in emotional distress.
And it will end up being a straight forward, boring trade period where nothing happens despite whatever shit the media is trying to stir to keep themselves entertained.

Is this desperation setting in from Rucci to get NAS over the line for his Port boys, bringing up massive walk out at Saints involving 3 players still contracted till end of 2027
100% gaslighting to destabilise the club.
Together with his buddy Ben Williams.
Clear as day.
