Things change. TDK seemed like a good move at the start of the season even with it being a ludicrous offer and aleer looked like a necessity.Now it’s the end of the season, we have a top 2 player in the comp we need to re-sign, TDK looks average and aleer looks worse than camma and Tauru.

Unless the acquisition of TDK is directly stopping the club from relocating to Adelaide, the two have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

It is funny seeing people choose what they want to believe or not

I'm going to sleep tonight thinking this is how it's gone down:

Nas, Windy, Hall etc have played out of their skins in 2nd half of year and demanded unprecedented $$$ that we never budgeted for

Meanwhile Dodson has showed all the signs he could be a quality AFL ruck in a year or two

Club realises it has pulled the wrong rein committing to TDK so early and asks to back out of the deal

His management says no and threatens to never deal with us again

We make noises about a player revolt, led by our AA and future captain (who is still contracted for 2 years). Feed it to the Rooch so nobody will ever view it as credible later on, but allow it to grow legs in the interim

TDK starts to realise if he comes, the top 6 from last year's B&F (except Sincs) will all be gone, including the near best player in the comp. He will never achieve success, and be blamed squarely for a decade at the foot of the ladder

We mutually agree to shake hands and walk away. He joins his brother down at the Cattery with a bit of acreage and becomes the first Morris Finance board member to win multiple flags

Nas, Ro, Windy, Wilkie etc etc all get paid and stay. Happy days. We finish 13th next year. Dodson leaves on a college basketball scholarship. Rooch is still an idiot

All that's left is to roll over the war chest, get Butters as a free agent and cop life bans on the Port board

I thought it was an excellent read from someone with no particular ties to the club and therefore no barrow to push.

Yes, it gives St.Kilda’s viewpoints but it’s good to see the rationale behind their decisions. He’s obviously spoken to people at the club rather than just making things up for clicks.

That Ross had spoken to the senior players about what they were going to do, and why, is in my view, acting very transparently and treating the senior players like adults. If Marshall ends up going to the Cats, let’s remember there was a lot of speculation end of last season already that he had requested to go there - something he came out and denied. But there’s no smoke without fire and it seems as though it’s not just bc we may be getting TDK. now that he may want to move.

Low and behold some clowns called Steamboat and the Hooch or some such garbage have declared that three of our contracted players are going to leave one being Wilkie.
Then there is a headline from Fox Footy about Wilkie leaving 'from reports', then Sam Edmund reports it. What an ecosystem of gutter grubbing flotsam the football media is
They do know that Steele, Marshall and Wilkie are contracted until 2027 and will only go if the club says so. I can see the value of buying the frdp for Marshall and unless we land a Flanders or some such Steele is going nowhere.
As for Wilkie naming his own price. He could get assurances of 10 million a year but unless we really want to trade him he is going nowhere.
FMD this is going to be a wild off season.
There will be multiple circle jerks or angry mobs with torches.
Jesus long haul is hideous.

The torches will come in handy in the dark so we can still circle jerk
