All clubs have to have their exit interviews by the Wednesday after there last game player association rules.

So the sackings started today or are they on Mental Monday getting full of soup to soften the blow tomorrow

If they change the ruck rule where it goes back to ruckman leaping at the ball, Keeler's worth also goes up.

I think with regards to Keeler you have to view what his primary use would be.

If TDK is playing 70% ruck time then Keeler is a 70% forward 20-30% ruckman.

IM hes already shown way more as a forward than Roma has and thats more than enough to make up for the potential deficieency he may have as a second ruck.

We dont need two rucks, we need one and a forward who can chop out (then Dodson or Heath if Roma goes down).

Paying Roma 800k to be a very ****ing average second ruck who may kick a goal a game seems nonsensical to me.

As our pick 7 may get pushed back to possibly 12-16, is that still upper talent pool? Though yes it would seem to be some decent players in that range.

How far we get pushed back is hard to know with any confidence as there are just so many Academy and FS who could get called out and matched before our pick, plus WCE FA compo. And then with our pick the Saints could well call out several more as well.

Yeh fair, i think we should probably just do it even if its not a "sweet" deal. Little cap room to make sure we dont lose Windy and allow someone like Keeler to develop for really no dip in production but either way

Given the threshold to trigger band 1 compo was supposed to have gone up, and the fact Brisbane salary cap must be pretty tight, I can’t see a world in which what Brisbane have offered legitimately triggers band 1 compensation. Plain as day this one will be a manufactured priority pick.

At least they had the ability to make it onto a list and have a crack unlike us , Life isn't over for them , they just take a different path now

His body is unreliable at best and his form earlier in the year was terrible.

You’d be mad to offer him 5 years guaranteed money @ $900k+ a year which is what it would take.

On Daniher, due to Brisbane’s blatant free agency draft tampering. Daniher made big money on his first 3 years of the contract (to trigger Essendon 1st rd compo). Then he was on a heavily reduced amount when they added a further 2 years.

So not only do I think Brisbane couldn’t afford it, I don’t think anyone would be offering that. No doubt there’d be performance and games played triggers. But they are disregarded from the compensation equation.

Whatever you're going on about with your profile talk , you wouldn't be drafting anyone by watching that footage alone was the point i was making , I'm sure the scouts watch all the youngsters on multiple occasions

Surely we are looking at getting Flanders and/or pick 6 or 10, maybe as a part of a salary purchase, similar to Bowes to Geelong? Not sure whether Flanders is worth 7 by itself, although he would look it in our system.

As much as i love Roma , as long as its a sweet ass deal and not a stinky ass deal i would do it too , We still have Dodson in the wings and id be drafting a young project ruck and moving Max on

I am certainly no draft watcher, but from what I have read some of those have some question marks about them. Not that they are bad players. But do not scream Gun.

Brisbane and Sydney fans think my proposal of having a pick within 5 of a bid is unfair and that fair is rules as they are or anything but fair value paid.
