2025 List Management Discussion - Part 3

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Thanks to Lore once again for this incredibly useful spreadsheet.

We didn’t land him, and the club goes on the offensive against academy picks. Do you really think we’d be doing that if we had a top 3 pick coming through? No chance.
You understand the sheer size of the clubs zone compared to other clubs right?

Even if we had one, it’s likely the northern clubs have another 10+ before we do or Collingwood/bulldogs/carlton have numerous father sons before we get either an academy or a father son.

It’s so much more than just if we had a good one coming through we wouldn’t rock the boat.

The fact they're professional list managers means there's a high risk they get it wrong.

So unless we're naive we shouldn't blindly assume they'll get it right.

But that's exactly what many posters expect everyone to do.
Geez you'll beat this dead horse til its a bloody carcass won't you?

Your first sentence makes zero sense BTW.

Going to be funny watching the Dogs backline struggle again while JSOS experiences the Corey Enright glow up.

If only they put time into a defender who was gettable instead of someone who had publicly made it very clear they were committed to their club.

Steele is a funny one, everyone seems to expect him to leave but I hope he stays.

I think he has years left and if we’re making a push we’ll need him. Still a lot to play out but I’d need to see some impressive mids coming in before I’d think about trading him out.
I love Steele but at 30 I don't think he will turn his average form around in the future.
Everyone has there day Steele has had his imo.
Keep him for sure but he is not what he was 4 yrs ago.
I feel Windhager has his position and Macrae showed better form than him this year and the next season hopefully we see a few of the younger ones get picked ahead of him = guys like Phillipou and even Garcia , Hall had more impact in games than Steele had.

However I wouldn't like to see him go because we need all the experience he has to help the kids get to another level.

So because you were denied in the past, you want to continue to be denied of it in the future when you could actually benefit from it?
There are no guarantees.
It’s a blight on the game - supposedly a professional competition- and needs the be fixed.

The Bulldogs grab for Wilkie is fair enough
But just dumb to do it now.
Surely they knew about the meeting btn Wilke's & RTB,
shutting it down, that he wanted to leave.
Makes us look good though

Draft and trades board is the new bay 13

Stay safe out there, peeps
Bulldogs supporters up and about in the Wilkie thread until that tweet about them working in the offer for nearly a week. Gone all quiet since 🤣🤣🤣
