2025 List Management Discussion - Part 4

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Thanks to Lore once again for this incredibly useful spreadsheet.

The voices in Ben Cousins head after a 10 day bender make more sense than Brad Johnson, Damo Barrett & Josh Jenkins.

Just my opinion but I think Curnow will go to the Swans for Haywood and picks. Marshall will go to the Cats for picks. The Cats need a ruckman more than a forward. Opposite for the Swans. We'll use the Marshall picks for whatever other trades we have in store or take them to the draft.
Personally I'd prefer Steele to stay if he wants to. I think we owe him that much. I just hope he doesn't end up at Essendon of all clubs.
Roma is a different case. Obviously he doesn't want to play second fiddle to TDK. And he'll be no.1 ruck at the Cats with almost guaranteed finals next year and possibly a GF. No one should begrudge him that choice.
Sounds like the Flanders trade is as good as done with the Suns expecting it to be finalized before the weeks out.
We've been mediocre for too long. It's going to be sad to see some of our stalwarts playing elsewhere but we know the ceiling on a lot of our older players and clearly the days of inaction are over.
That's a good thing which I support.
" No one should begrudge him that choice" .... so we should feel obliged to get him to the cats even though he signed a 4 year deal with us and we have paid him in part already for services he is contracted to deliver over the next 2 years???

Talk now on the Carlton and Cats boards about Marshall + F1 for SDK and 18. So a slight downgrade on 1st rounder. I don't love it, I don't hate it either.
Make it F2 instead of F1 and I'd be interested.

According to Gubby, our spending spree will continue next year, so we need to keep our F1

st kilda are the only team to ever get stooged in a trade by Gold Coast
When did the trade get done?
Barrett & Jenkins… couldn’t find two blokes who hate us more. Barrett is a gutter dickhead journo, Jenkins was nothing but a hack footballer. Kicked majority of his goals out the back from the goal square, as nobody thought to man him up!
My Trade Radio daily fix ends end at 2.59pm.
All 3 of them are dickheads

Will Windy play full time mid next year then? Ended up roughly 50% mid this year, but a lot of his high disposal games came from wing and half back.

His versatility probably hurts him in this regard as he can play outside better than Macrae, Steele and Garcia
I'd like to see Windhager & Wilson on the wings plus rotating through the middle as well

If moving on Ainsworth is essentially a salary dump to afford Petracca surely GC wouldn't want much in terms of picks for him. Package him up with Flanders for pick 7?
