2025 List Management Discussion - Part 4

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Thanks to Lore once again for this incredibly useful spreadsheet.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period:
Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

I think you may have been mistaken, as Max is overseas. I saw him this morning at a cafe in Gymuri in Armenia and he had the waiter lifting up the coffee cup for him to drink his cappuccinno. To be fair it was a large cup.
That's strange, I helped him break some disposable chopsticks apart here in Japan last evening. Neither of us could rip the soy sauce sachet open, had to ask the waitress. He's getting around quick at least.

Wonder how Richo feels seeing Rhyce playing out there now eleven years later

He had Hunter Clark in the passenger seat, and after Hunter managed to unbuckle himself, he got out and together they lifted the nozzle. I was really heartened by the teamwork and look forward to 2026.
An innovative approach to strength conditioning by the Saints which is a slow burn.

On Max King.

He came along to my kid’s Auskick a few weeks back for some Q&A and some drills.

This was against prep kids and he didn’t stand out. Took a couple of marks but they were uncontested and didn’t score a goal (it was dodgeball but still).

I wasn't going to tell anyone this but feel I probably have to. We're family friends with the Kings and they were around for dinner the other night. I was making a simple pasta sauce, anyway I've had this wrist injury and couldn't open a jar of tomato passata, I asked Max for a hand and seriously he was absolutely straining with it! I raised my eyebrows a bit when he handed it back to me unopened and as a bit of a gag gave it to my four year old son to open and he got it in one. Max said "obviously I loosened it up" but jeez it was awkward.

To make matters worse we were having water melon later and I tossed it to him fairly gently and he dropped it, totally split the melon and then he couldn't even pick it up, saying "yikes this is a massive one it must be genetically engineered".

So yeah I'm not surprised by these gym reports at all tbh.

I saw Max King at a gym around Bayside yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my reps, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I went to leave I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Well everyone as I sit here relishing in the Cats defeat, and feeling extraordinary passion for our amazing sport. I glance at my Facebook and see my Auntie has posted a historical video of the launch of the book.. ‘The point of it all’ the official history of our one premiership won by a total of 1 point. It carries extra weight for me as my grandfather ‘Jules Feldmann’ was one of the authors of this book, a man I had never met.
Now, things are happening at St Kilda..
Passion, enthusiasm and desire for a cup. It only has to be 1 point, and we are on the way to it. Call it a vibe, premonition or for the straighty 180’s absolute lunacy but Im sure we’re just about there . Celebrate today, celebrate our game, and don’t be too envious, we’re gonna see it and I believe it’s sooner than we may think.
