I was almost expecting the manager to pull out a pre-prepared note in his pocket to double check the kids names, comes across as small time operator working in a cramped windowless room at the back of a struggling laundromat who would spend most of his day fighting his non functioning printer Dennis Denuto style.

Is Jack Martin the last player to get to his club of choice through the PSD after a failed trade negotiation?

Jackson Hately, to the Crows. Same M.O.

Adelaide posters seem pretty keen to argue they "won" because they may get him for free through the PSD while Lions posters seem generally happy with the outcome too. So why the arguments if both sets of supporters are happy with the outcome.

I think we’ve shown we have little respect for the way Adelaide want to go about business. That us wound them up

Sounds like we were happy to give 23 and Cal for 16 and a future 2nd
That was the no brainer trade, but Adelaide even rejected two F2s which to me would've been unders.

Joke club.

The reality is what was offered isn't of much use to us and there's a small if unlikely opportunity to see if he wants to stay.

Almost assured he will ultimately get there through the PSD but if that's Adelaide's strategy to attract players when in the end they had only one to ink this year they haven't got much hope of attracting any more in future

More importantly, has this dud of a manager got any of our other players on his books?

Henry Smith
Are players locked into contracts with their managers or can they switch effectively at whim?

Is 'I became aware that my manager is an incompetent douche' grounds for making the change?

Paul Hasleby on SENWA urging WC to grab Cal in the PSD. Would laugh if it happened...

Listening to Justin Reid on trade radio just now was putrid. Blows smoke up Cal’s arse until the aforementioned deal options we floated were mentioned. All of a sudden Cal ain’t ever been top 10 in a B&F, is old & ain’t worth shit. Apparently no club will be able to get hold of Cal for a medical etc. Stay classy Cows.

Did you catch his comments about the value of picks at all?

Feel free to make his case.

Essentially, teams like Adelaide place a stronger value on raw picks because we have a narrower way of bringing in young talent than a team like Brisbane. We could go tit-for-tat on whether Academy processes are fair but that's a separate argument - and it is the rules we operate under - so I'm not going to argue that here. You've benefited from the rules, as all clubs would. You've also drafted/traded very well separate from Academy/FS recently, which is a big part of your flags.

The Crows will take Cal in the PSD for nothing and move on, as I'm sure Brisbane will when they take another Academy player next month.
