Because of list spots, we have lost 7 but brought in 5, which means only 2 list spots available, but need to draft 3. Gov is in contracted and Elijah may be paid out but either way one will need to go.
Your numbers are off.
We currently have only 1 list spot. Technically that’s enough, because we could elevate 2 rookies, but in reality we have to cut 2 more players, but likely 3 so that we can use all the points available for matching a bid for Ison if it comes before 37.

I think if we agree to keep Gov we would likely still delist him and then take him in the Rookie Draft/PSD/SSP.

This is correct, if we consider Will White and Flynn Young as inclusions we'd need to cut three more players. Gov, Lij and one more, or don't elevate one of White/Young

I doubt they are more expensive than Hollands. They're also miles back in the pecking order.
There’d have to be some reviewing between LM & coaching dept on what our thoughts/plans are for 2026 roles.

It looks like EH is further down the pecking order for people on the inside than those of us on the outside.

Binnsy has been traveling & training with teammates, so may be an unpopular decision. Was mentioned as a trade prospect but no traction.

Odd, we stated we were short on depth yet are likely to further cull just that.

Camporeales’ may not have been the right path last draft.

We massively improved our depth at Binns position, and we kept Acres. He's about 7th in line to play the wing. Boyd is 5th small defender.

Campo twins are fine, Lucas can pivot to defence if necessary.

Geelong have delisted but committed to rookie listing George Stevens, would love for us to offer him a better deal.
Got a handful of games this year, midfielder in the cripps mould
2023 draft, national team caprain

Know we need speed and that’s not his bag, but would love us to take a shot

And not only this, but they spent a huge amount of time (around a year), and effort, to ensure that they got the changes right.

And then they want to completely change it again on a whim. With no further research or evidence.

An utter clown show.
You call it a whim!!!!
AFL house call it the important and highly regarded opinion of Ross the Boss and Chris Scott!!!!! We all know that anything that can be done to assist Geelong will be actioned as a matter of due course!

Contracted until 2026.

According to footywire, players still not contracted are
Flynn Young
Harry Charleson
Mitch McGovern
Rob Monahan
Will White
Monahan has a one year deal per Irish media.

Last remnanats of stupid Lloyd contracts

Why you give players that are struggling to establish themselves mutli year contracts was crazy. Fogarty as well
I assume it was because they were on the cheap and considered good in an emergency while building towards a higher ceiling, but if Pittonet's salary is really over $300k, we had no ****ing idea what we were doing.

I am hopefully they are cheaper or the same than nixing EH, which frees up another list spot. We have the cap space and can still pursue valuable DFAs, of which there are quite a few.

All these people saying Walsh should be Captain. I disagree

He hasn't signed on and will likely look seriously at FA. He is also not what I would call a popular player. Not that he isn't liked but he doesn't socialise/mix with the group and isn't someone who would bring group together. He is very individually focussed and keeps a lot to himself. Not a great communicator

Also really needs to get over injuries and just play regular football

I think we are really deviod of a genuine leader and Cripps needs to stay Captain at this stage. Weitering is probably the only other option. Other "Leaders" around the club would be Newman Haynes and probably Pittonet
Just don’t see it with Weiters. Has a big bottom lip and not afraid to drop it with disappointment or dropping his bundle.
Needs to better b that regard before being considered.

Walsh does travel with teammates, past & present..Dowy still tags along.
