To be fair you’ve always had this belief that Jones was fine and would make it, hasn’t panned out, he hasn’t improved and if he wasn’t under contract would likely have been a delist.
Im absolutely willing to accept he wont make it, but what some arent willing to do is accept its absolutely possible that we ruined the kid right from the start.
Our club was disintegrating when he and Ned arrived, clearly we made some mistakes around development as well as a few other things. Chayce didnt handle the pressure, and just when it looked like he was about to become a regular contributor.... injury strikes, and some issues with his wife's pregnancy.

He played a Pick 4 as a small forward, dont bet on it.

Sure his first was better than his second but that doesn’t say much at all.
Murphy has a better player rating than jones , better average and better yearly rating than chayces first year in all but 2 years.

I have no doubt we ruined him, but he’s not shown much to say he would have been more than an average player to begin with.
I think he'd have been a regular contributor, instead he's in no-mans land.

You clearly cant back your claim that I’m “not even close to being right”
Even if I was wrong (which I’m not as stats back me up), I’m not completely wrong.
So your whole argument is that he was just a bog average player that good coaching and development wouldnt have made any real difference to.
I'm saying that is completely wrong, because it is.

Butters was played as small forward to begin with too. Nicks would not survive if he kept Draper as a small forward when our midfield is shit

I’m saying exactly what I’m saying, he never looked like it from the start.
It matters not if it was him or the coaches.
It would appear you have a connection to him (commenting on pregnancy complications, this really has no relevance to his form 5 or 6 years after being drafted)
Those same coaches are still there..

I dont have a personal connection no, but I work very closely with someone who does. If you think that has little relevance to football form and confidence, then you must be made of stone.

Interesting point Silvers mentioned to me the other night, when I asked about Izak's suspension, he conceded "it really hurt as particularly he is one of our few match-winning stars"
At least they know we are not the finished product yet so hopefully will be aggressive in targeting more top tier talent.

It has no bearing to the years prior to it happening is obviously what I’m saying.

Others made it through though. I think Chayce has to take some responsibility though.
I’ve said it for awhile he needs to change clubs for his own benefit and then we’d truly have an idea if it’s coaching or not.
To me he never showed enough at the start to suggest it was purely coaching.

Personally I wouldnt be surprised if he headed back to Tasmania once his contract is up
