I don't often watch the post show, but this has been quite extraordinary with the panelists trying to absolve Max and blame his behaviour on a confluence of events caused by George and the RB pit wall, while their interviewer doggedly asks editorialised questions to try and create a story.

Lando did it again, he refuses to face Oscar on the podium, Lando always turns his back on Oscar on the podium. Passive aggressive little child.

Why can’t they slide back and rejoin at the back then?
Personally, I think the lapped cars should have to cycle through pit lane on the re-start, thus getting them safely out of the way without giving them a free (and completely undeserved) lap back.

Oh who gives a **** what Sky do.

Seriously, is this what this board is going to be when an Aussie is doing well?
80% of the F1 threads these days are people bitching and whining about the British broadcaster not spending enough time talking about Piastri. Who gives a ****
Oh I’m sorry for commenting on F1 on the F1 forum. Next time I’ll keep it strictly to what the chassis of the car, the tyres, the fact that people like you are on the forum just to bitch and moan about other posters.

They will remain lapped. The purpose is for them to unlap. It is also safer for them to go around to the back rather than all slow down.
The purpose is to get them out of the way, cleansing the order so that the cars on the lead lap are all free to race each other without being impeded by lapped traffic. Allowing them to unlap is just an unfortunate consequence of a bad race policy.

They should be forced to cycle through pit lane on the re-start instead of unlapping themselves. This would cleanse the race order, without giving them a lap back.

Just something I noticed but apparently the forum nazis don’t like me commenting on stuff like this.
Maybe because in Spain the podium is at the start of the pits and therefore the team are down to his right, meaning he turns his back on Oscar.

If this mirrors '24 a bit, Max has Canada and then he gets dropped from WDC contention, so RB need to figure it out quick smart. Going by that interview short Max knows this.

Ferrari look to be up there and abouts as a potential, Merc need to figure out how to not have their power units explode though.

Just because it’s a free country and I have free speech and it’s 2 am

Sky F1 is biased towards the British they always are and always have been, golden boy Lando is a sook, Crofty can’t hide his disappointment when Oscar wins and finally I’ll whine and complain as much as I like about the TV commentators and coverage and I’ll do it in Canada where JV comes out in his second hand clothes store outfit that he purchased blindfolded, and with that I bid you farewell. 🍺

Perfect performance today really, Pole & 1-2. Never in doubt despite what some in here might have you think.

I would give a 5sec penalty to both LEC & RUS, DQ VER.
Promoting Hulk to 3rd & Lawson to 10th

There’s plenty of ways it can be done.
Doing 6 laps and then letting them unlap then doing more laps seems silly.

Again. It is a safety issue. While there are marshals and recovery vehicles on track it is not safe for them to unlap themselves. I don't see how it is so hard to grasp.

I'm saying congrats Lawson, you're P10 and in wash going Max - no driving into people as an angry boy an GTFO outta that result as a DQ. Knowing full well he almost bottled it on restart cause new hards and it was a racing incident with Charles due to that, then George drove into him you just don't do what Max did so no points for you.

That would have been ironic given how Lawson drove today 😳

Shuffle on the straight, just delete the "lap" for lapped cars and allow them to slow off the line as 1- whatever come through, then pop back in, in order by end of straight.

Conga line behind safety car enshrined.
Lapped cars unlapped by just changed timing.
You can then fiddle per instances with "do peeps need to go through pits?" depending on how, where, who, when.

Having them have to complete a lap just does as Hamilton says "they love wasting laps" as everyone waits for them to complete the circuit to catch up tot he back of the 1-whatever. It's not like their tyres are newer really, they all start at the same times with same things they're just in "slow" cars compared to those in the lead so it's a timing thing in most cases.

Kinda the point.
Max did it cause he got pissy about things.
Lawson did it cause he sucks arse at overtaking.

There's a difference when one drives into another car.

"I'm sure the team will find answers for you".
Ali G: "I'm sure they won't"
What a dick.

To be fair he's saying he thinks he's the problem-hes more down on himself than anything

That's true I just find it ironic given Lawson was his team-mate and he's such a poor kmart driver 😀

Well I give a **** about the quality of coverage from Sky because I've got no alternative. While we can all disagree with the specifics, the Sky coverage is an integral part of what we all see and so shouldn't be beyond criticism.

But my biggest problem with tonight's coverage was just how many times Croft fecked up his call of what was happening on track. Garbling names, mis-calling strategy and the like. It really was pretty poor from him tonight.

Rosberg provided the cool and accurate head in the box though, especially during some of the tangles that happened later in the race involving Verstappen and some of the back markers.
