I think that's harmless. Let the kid enjoy himself instead of making a negative about it.

It's not like he was taunting the crowd with it hes just celebrating his win. Don't take positive emotions out the game
He’s not blaming the kid, just lamenting the circumstances that led to the celebration.

The celebration is fine and good for hiim and all that… but **** that shit… should never have happened.

Agree should never have happened

Stating a 18 year old had "tickets on himself" because he celebrated, was the reasoning behind the post.

Yes we are all feeling the loss, but players celebrating shouldn't be flagged out as an issue unless its a result of an unsportsmanlike action.

Mate you took what I said out of context clearly. As The previous poster correctly stated, it was the actions that led to it.

Nothing surprises me any more with this club. I wasn't even angry after last night's result. I don't know if it's even worth financially supporting this club anymore.

The club is more concerned commercially instead of focusing on winning premierships. 11 years we've broken membership records and the club takes us all for granted. We turn up week in week out and get that rubbish press conference from the coach.

Supporters can't even watch the team train FFS. We might give away our highly secretive game plan.
Thankfully my daughter missed the game due to camp.
Why would I want to put her through this pain?

Of course! We need to hide our secret tactics, that's why nobody knows how to prepare for our genius game plan!

The disappointment might be dispelled next week. I don’t think so. That was embarrassing. Not just for the skill lapses but for the reluctance as a group to commit to the contest. It has been an issue for a few years. One week on one week off. That is a leadership issue. Not Cripps. But the refusal of senior players to take responsibility by doing something to make a difference. McGovern. Cerra . Williams. Walsh. Acres. That performance says you can’t be trusted and you are not leaders.

Not fair! Our ball movement in the first half was sublime! One bad half and the season is over?

Not season over. But you're acting like this is new - it's not. It's a continuation of last year.

It reminded me of the GWS game from last year. Went from great to abysmal in one game. Same against Dogs / Swans / Port / Dees (we fell in to win by a point) / etc.

Very similar pattern across a number of games.

We all probably thought it was because we were carrying injured players but to start the season doing that against such poor opposition is unthinkable. Tigs will cop a 100 point belting next week.

There's a mental element in our team that picks and chooses when to play and when to mentally implode.

There has to be a response at the selection table.

Charlie straight back obviously.

Is Boyd ready? Surely Moir has to play.

We cannot play Haynes again. If we do the match committee themselves are the problem and should be chucked. I'd put McGovern in almost the same boat.

Fantasia will play. Does Binns get a go? Matt Carroll has to be half a chance.

Evans / Motlop / Cottrell were either horrific or poor.

I love Cooper Lord but what pos is he playing? I think you've either got to pick him or George - probably picking 2 players who can only play the one role.

I'm definitely not sure Acres deserves a game next week after that effort. I'd give Lucas another go. His disposal is rough but at least he has the excuse of being young.

Guys with terrible disposal hurt the team so much as you have no set defensive zone for a bad turnover when the whole team is trying to go on offense - and it's in those moments where you see the absolute panic.

And we've got a lot of butchers.

Watching Hawks now, and everything we didn't show last night they are showing now.
Speed, Gut Running, Clean Hands, Cool Under Pressure. Because they are getting those things right they are getting open and having good shots at goal..
Hawthorne leap frogging us is as big a kick in the balls as this club has given me th3 last 30 years

Honestly Inam so sick and tired of the bomb it long approach … it doesn’t ****ing work!

I am really starting to despise every aspect of this footy club.

I even want to spit on the boot studded!
Bomb it long only works if we have high pressure small forwards , which we don't.
Time to send Williams back to half back/ wing , Ollie to small forward otherwise go and bulk up and come back when you are 10kgs heavier.
Evans and motlop back to reserves / Fantasia in until his form starts to stink
DeKoning to stretch Meek by going forward at every opportunity. Young to come in to ruck defence / Haynes sent down to reserves.
Just tweak it up as the current game plan is clearly not sustainable. Hasnt been for the past dozen games.

Couldn't agree more.

Even if it did work it's not really a premiership winning style of play.

It takes zero skill to hoof it in the air and hope the crumbers get lucky. Ridiculous.

(I'd leave the boot studder alone though)

I don't think it's a coaching issue.

It's Harry.

How many coaches has he been through? This was a problem long before Voss and his team.

Harry is incapable. He's just genuinely a terrible drop kick. And considering we rely on him, our forward line will always be not good enough.
He has a technical flaw. Get him a goal kicking coach to fix it. Not rocket science.

They don’t believe in what Voss is selling. It shows.
They don’t trust each other or the gameplan.
  • The president who yapped about team work, culture, decency, respect… flops his thing out for a photoshoot that ends up public.
  • CEO let’s be frank was a Malthouse… asked to retire by his previous club but still thought he had petroleum in the tank is now transitioning because realises the old team was right. Took 2 seasons too long to address with the football manager our injury problems.
  • Senior coach obviously has been admitted when hired that he’s not tactical, more a man manager. So how can one trust his overall vision in what our game plan should be.
I can go on about our assistants and other things but how can players take the preaching of coaches and admin seriously. Why would they kick themselves when they know they’ll continue to get the same paycheque putting in at 50% vs 100%. Our culture and leaders are devoid in quality and numbers.

Mark my words if this last half season trend continues the back door knives will be in force… Hansen will do a Teague and be appointed by our new president without appropriate process and due diligence as our new senior coach.

The hell it was. We just got away with our rubbish because the Tigers hadn't closed up the contest.
Agree, even some of the goals we got were a bit fortuitous or from early Tiger mistakes. Even early on we were slipping over or bombing it straight into the lap of a Tiger defender.

I remember thinking at the time we were lucky we weren't playing a decent team. Then the second half happened...
