If he’s a x2 premiership player there’s a possibility it could be a different discussion. He’s not likely to ever play in a contending WC so it’s in preparation of retirement in WA and he won’t get another contract offer like this. If we don’t win it all this year I’m with you and don’t see it at all.

Absolutely! I’ve been of the opinion all year that we need to be bringing a mid career ruck in anyway because Cox is done and the two underneath remain a long way off so that’s hopefully the blessing in it all. If not though it’s a Daniher level pain for the list management group (in the scenario we win it this year).

His arguments don't even make sense. Collingwood used mechanisms open to every single other club to nab Houston and Perryman and will be doing the same to try to nab King and Rowell. Is he forgetting the club he supports also used said mechanisms to poach Lynch, Prestia, Taranto and Hopper over the years?

Setting aside this peanuts view I’m fully supportive of St Kilda’s stance even if it hurts our academy in the long term. Wilson on the agenda setters suggested St Kilda’s lobbying is on the verge of paying off with a limit of one academy player per draft which I’d be much more comfortable with on an ongoing basis. What doesn’t feel right to me is that the northern clubs are able to take a triple pronged approach to list management (trade/ FA, academy or live draft) if they sell their club correctly.

Back to Ralph and what’s most hypocritical to me given the sheer number of recycled “Collingwood has a list crunch” articles he’s released is he completely ignores that in order to make those moves we currently have zero trade currency.
