To crush that last bit of hope some people might have, the team is clearly fractured over the list management. Checkers, Elliott and McCreery likely all gone next year.

If they are fractured over contracts then they can go. Heaps of players playing for unders. That would be really disappointing

Didn't you just post telling us all what our thoughts and comments should be following 5 weeks of shit football?
I was referring to your negativity towards everything instead of being hopeful and optimistic. Negativity can creep in when upset, all I was doing was reminding people to have that faith and hope, we still have 2 games to go and finals to play.

Edmund and Ralph have been adamant this is an major issue for weeks now.
If certain players are letting their contracts or those of their teammates affect their performances, whilst we have a finals series to prepare for, I'd be more disappointed with those players.

You hear other players from all clubs say they are putting those things to one side whilst the season is still going. And teammates say they don't get involved in talk with teammates about their future & contracts. That's what I would hope our boys are also doing. To think they could be sulking & not performing because of another player's contract negotiations is pretty lame & juvenile to say the least.

I agreed with the headline in that post 'pay on performance rather than potential'.. Harley Reid & TDK are the players I thought of. I liked that particular post myself, based on that.

If these blokes are unhappy they aren’t getting big contracts in their 30s, then they should just go and get that big contract. I can see their point, but I can also see the point of the club. We don’t want to get in a situation like wce were we are paying older players too much.

Honestly don't care if 33 year old checkers leaves, not sure what McCreery thinks he's done to be upset with his contract unless he is just sympathizing with Checkers.

You would think they would all be for Pies trying to bring in players to improve their chances of winning more flags.....

If that really is McCreery liking that post, it’s not a great look. Earlier in the year there was plenty of talk about him being a candidate to be dropped. Credit to him — his form has picked up — but the challenge now is doing it every single week, not just when it suits.

Season Averages:

Disposals: 10.5 – Average

Marks: 2.1 – Below Average

Tackles: 4.3 – Elite

Goals: 0.4 – Below Average

There’s definitely POTENTIAL there, especially if he can run out full games in the midfield. Right now though, he’s mainly a pressure forward who isn’t hitting the scoreboard enough.

We’ve seen it after just about every premiership — a few average players start to think they’re worth more than they are. One of Graeme Wright’s best traits is that he doesn’t overpay. If a player asks for too much, he’s willing to let them walk. There’s even a story about how he learnt that lesson back at Hawthorn with Jason Dunstall, and it played a big role in helping them build their dynasty.

To be fair, he’s also liking comments from Pies fans saying “don’t leave us”

He’s just one of those players who engages on posts.

Voss remaining as coach will make next year very interesting when we meet again. Silvagni whichever way he goes, Fly’s comments won’t be forgotten for him.

I honestly thought that Voss was on the way out anyway so it wouldn’t matter. But this drama will arise again.

It’s really unsurprising that this news has come out after that situation.

I’d hate to lose Beau. His pressure is what this team is built around.

If he actually pushed to get out to go to the Gold Coast I’d push for Flanders in a straight swap. 24 years old and probably has desires on more midfield time himself. Could be a really nice pairing with Nic going forwards.

Unfortunately my dreams of Humphrey are really just that.
