Waiting until next year will likey see WC walking him to the draft, netting the Pies return...Even better. Hold him till next year and we'll get a much better player. Next years draft is the real McCoy. This year's draft will require pick 1

There’s no way you’re getting more next year for an uncontracted 31 year old Darcy Cameron. If you want their 2026 1st you get it by trading for it this year.Even better. Won’t happen. Clubs are too professional to do that these days. We’d just get unders.Waiting until next year will likey see WC walking him to the draft, netting the Pies return...
exactly , he can walk next year, we will get stuff allThere’s no way you’re getting more next year for an uncontracted 31 year old Darcy Cameron. If you want their 2026 1st you get it by trading for it this year.

Sometimes you take a hit. Especially if they want to walk without any regard for the club who took from obscurity and developed him into one of the premier ruckman in the compWaiting until next year will likey see WC walking him to the draft, netting the Pies return...
I'm not against their next years first pick this year. I'm just saying that you don't offload him for unders this year. If he wants to go this year, he can go on our terms. He's contracted and it's better for us to keep him for next year whilst we have another crack at a flag. After next year we'll be on a bit of a rebuild anywayThere’s no way you’re getting more next year for an uncontracted 31 year old Darcy Cameron. Yeah I'd have a crack at the Eagles future first, likely a guranteed Top 5 even if they don't improve much next yearI'm not against their next years first pick this year. Agreed, rarely happens, but does happen when there arent enough levers to pull.Clubs don’t walk players to the draft anymore. WC could have done that with Baker last year but still traded for him.
I'd be demanding that or pick 1 this year.Yeah I'd have a crack at the Eagles future first, likely a guranteed Top 5 even if they don't improve much next year
It's simple, they have the need and we have the goods. It won't be the first time a side pays overs for a playerAgreed, rarely happens, but does happen when there arent enough levers to pull.
As it stands, you would expect WC to finish bottom 2 again next year & I cant see them trading Pick 1/2 for a 31 Y.O Darcy Cameron.
Baker, 5 years Camerons Junior, was traded for pick 14
We dont have the goods, we have no leverage in 2026It's simple, they have the need and we have the goods. It won't be the first time a side pays overs for a player
I'm at a stage where if they want to leave then goodbye. We dont have the goods, we have no leverage in 2026
You're making no sense... is it if he wants to leave, then good bye? Or we must extract pick 1?I'm at a stage where if they want to leave then goodbye.
I'm all over the place. I think I'll have a bex and a lie down. You're making no sense... is it if he wants to leave, then good bye? Or we must extract pick 1?
does he have to play at one club for 8 years? He's a free agent next year isn't he
I'm not sure plums.does he have to play at one club for 8 years?
Might be more doesn't suit our budget. Isn't he one of the highest paid players?I'd love Ben King but apparently some feel he doesn't suit our style
They traded pick 3 and some later picks down to pick 12.Agreed, rarely happens, but does happen when there arent enough levers to pull.

He's on around 1m per year. We should be able to afford that.Might be more doesn't suit our budget. Isn't he one of the highest paid players?
Watch this space on the West Coast request for support.
AFL wont want to be seen providing compensation to a club whos won a flag in the last 10 years.
Providing them an early pick that has to be traded could be the compromise, opening the door for Cameron getting to the Eagles
