If I am GC, the last player I would let go is Bailey Humphrey, as he matures will be DeGoey Mk II, will go on ball and tear teams apart when it matters. Just like Jordy he is plying his trade forward but given time will be a midfielder as well. Would love him but no way they let him go.
Yep, he's a ripper, and the JDG comparison is there for all to see.

Who knows? Not every Vic kid wants the GC lifestyle. Let's see what he wants, at the least.

After missing out on Rowell and Silvagni I do wonder whether we've now got another target in mind.

I do still wonder how in the hell we would have facilitated a trade for Rowell and the same goes for someone like a Merrett now.

With no 2025 1st round pick to offer among any package, we would have had to include a player/s we ideally wouldn't want to part with you'd assume.

While the thought of Treloar seemed absurd to me when first raised, I guess if our goal is top up and remain in contention year on year then he might represent best value in terms of cost vs potential immediate impact in 2026.

Dare say we do but no idea who it might be

Don’t want Trelor Old and Injury Prone

Fair to say age isn't a deterrent for Fly and if we're only taking about a 1 year rolling contract not much risk involved.

While Treloar might be old, compared to a 38yo Pendlebury (in Jan 2026) and 35yo Sidebottom (in Jan 2026) his 33 years (in Mar 2026) still makes him the baby of the family. LOL.

His body was certainly a problem this year and a medical assessment would be required, but he returned to VFL by the end of the season and racked up 35 disposals, 11 clearances and 8 tackles in a final last weekend.

Was an AA in 2024 and played 64 games in total across the years 2022-2024.

The burning question is whether his body is now cooked or this season was simply an outlier in terms of injury?

Personally I'll be surprised if the Dogs don't offer him a contract.

Treloar only needs another 6 games at the Pies to become FS relevant.

Pies maybe being frugal with big money because they eye big name stars in 2027?

logic suggest so.

Pies need to build around Naicos for the next 10 years and not just for the next 2 years.

He was fit to play VFL last week but they opted not to. It doesn't look like the dogs want to give him another contract. His calf issue this year is no different to 34yo Howe. If we want quality midfield depth for next year, for free, then it's a no brainer.

Seniors were out of finals. Was he eligible to play VFL finals?

Same was said re Houston. The way it plays out is the manager works in the background on the deal before the destination is announced. Basically we’ll only ever know if we can get it done.

If we’ve got a big one on the hook and the club love Hayes and HH it’ll be Hill going that paves the way for one to come in. He doesn’t have the same value, but Allan not being ruled out when those initial discussions take place on the first day of trade week could wind up in a move. I also think our 2027 pick will be worth more to others than us.

The article said they considered him for the vfl final. I think he came off a 40 disposal VFL game. It might have been that they were considered him for the last AFL game of the season. It was a couple of weeks ago but in the end he's certainly fit as we speak so the calf has healed ( for now)

I'm on board. They seem to rehab and manage them much better than they used to. How many hammies for Dangerfield in his thirties? He still plays a heap of games and he's still superman when he plays.

You've just got to get Sideswipe on board and then Leppa will follow. And if you can't, there's always Noah Cumberland.

I can't get sidewsipe on board for anything. I don't think he likes me. How anyone could not like loveable old manic is beyond me. Ahhh well, at least I'm a better golfer than him
