Clarry is a very physical player. His high fives are deadly, usually hit ya jaw.Riley O'Brien kicking one off his shin Friday night would have inspired Clarry to team up with his soulmate
I don't think the terms was the issue, was more about $$I believe we offered him a 2 year deal, if the reports of Melbourne "coming hard" are true, I cannot imagine it being less than 2 years, unless there is a massive pay difference.
Think Melbourne will offer him a 2 year deal with a 3rd year option if he meets certain targets.
He had to give away fist pumping people when he kept punching them straight in the nuts like a lunaticClarry is a very physical player. His high fives are deadly, usually hit ya jaw.

Not quite, Buller got draft mid year 2023. We didn’t take a pick.West the obvious replacement. We may look to bolster our talls by signing the WA boy Jack Buller, whom we planned to recruit in the mid season draft - until Swans took him with the 13th pick. Can help out in the ruck and, at 22, is more advanced than Howes (whom we took at 15).
they def need to improve their forward line. I reckon King coming in will change the way they play. He'll want them to play with more freedom.I can see what the Dees are going for with trying to get Checkers in, similar to what North did with getting in Darling to support Larkey. Van Rooyen needs a talented support act
He's done a medical with usWe're we actually interested in him? I haven't seen anywhere stating we are showing interest in him...
tbf, that was a two year race. Wasn't technically about Fly. They wanted Lippa in 2020 but he was contracted.2021 - Lipinski, Kreuger
2022 - Hill, McStay, Frampton
2023 - Schultz
2024 - Houston, Perryman, Membrey
2025 - ???
Something happens every year under Fly, whether it’s a trade or through free agency.
I have no doubt they are cooking up something again.
No idea who we’re actually going after this year but I’m excited to see what happens. We certainly like being active.
Nick and Josh both value their dads input when it comes to contracts, and Peter is very much in the camp of “leave some on the table to build a good team with”.Surely Nick's contract is something along the lines of a certain percentage of our salary cap.
With NAS getting 2M, Nick's management would be well within their right to ask the club to renegotiate his contract to increase his annual salary.
Especially with the contract concessions that tassie has, they can throw the mother of all contract offers at nick. We need to at least be within 500-700k of what they may potentially offer .
Posturing.Going by what Steven King is saying, he has no plans om letting petracca go, "premierrship players dont grow on trees." and he expects dees to get back in contention next season and you need that experience
If there was any possibility Checkers might be part of that puzzleThere’s just no way we can get Petracca? Right?
We surely would have to trade someone out.
No doubt the Daicos boys would be in his ear if it was a chance.
WHE, Perryman?Yeah worked a treat with Brown, Lynch, Cameron etc. I’ll be more shocked the day a player that supported the Pies does sign
He might, but it won’t be about trade currency because he’s a FA and might net us a pick in the 30’s or 40’s. If he’s been offered 2 years by us on decent money and the move on Silvagni was to have both in the squad next year then in theory we’d have $1.2m ish to play with over the next two years. We probably lose some of that to make sure Elliott is retained, but the likely outcome if Mihocek walks is that we have room for Petracca if his contract is re-worked a little. The real question is about what it costs in a trade if we take on his full salary? If there was any possibility Checkers might be part of that puzzle
I’m finding this out just now lol. Glad we got him!tbf, that was a two year race. Wasn't technically about Fly. They wanted Lippa in 2020 but he was contracted.
Then in 2021 it was between us and carlton.I’m finding this out just now lol. Glad we got him!

So we get him for nothing if we absorb his salary?Trac playing the long game here can see him still wanting to get to Collingwood just doing it smarter.
according to tom morris, he's open to going interstate like the suns or adelaide. So we get him for nothing if we absorb his salary?
If the rumours are true his team mates haven’t appreciated his effort this year…you Cant build a premiership culture with that sort of animosity.
Adelaide would be very keen you’d thinkaccording to tom morris, he's open to going interstate like the suns or adelaide.
Is that because he thinks we can’t facilitate a trade. We need a top end talent if we are to contend again next year.according to tom morris, he's open to going interstate like the suns or adelaide.
No idea, but we were never his preference apparantely. Hawks were.Is that because he thinks we can’t facilitate a trade. We need a top end talent if we are to contend again next year.
He's exactly what they need.Adelaide would be very keen you’d think
Not talking about players (hope they don't read BF) - referring to the posters who remember stuff like:I am older then all the Players
