The min TPP should be like 80% and you should be able to carry over any free cap to future seasons.

Throw in pick purchasing for clubs with heaps of cap space too.

Bottom teams would be able to have proper war chests and be able to get more higher ends picks through the door with pick purchasing.
Imagine how bad a club would be able to get and still have supporters going "but just look at that cap spend. in 30 years we're going to be unstoppable!"

Bottom teams should be able to put the money into their soft cap instead.

There is no doubt Essendon would be the preferred option here, in order of draft picks, I know some think that a high draft pick is what the opposing club would offer but when doing that people are thinking what he's worth in their eyes, some dislike Jy for the way he footballs and some like him because he gives it 100% effort.

IF the bombers were the club then one has to remember going into that team what he actually brings. 1/ A mid who gets his hands dirty and is a good player when you take out a few wayward kicks from time to time. 2/ A senior body who can not only play straight away but have an impact. 3/ Be in their top five players from week to week and teach training standards.

You are not going to get someone from this years draft who will do that and if you get someone from the SANFL/WAFL/ VFL or elsewhere its very likely they wont stay on your list for to long. Also what some people don 't take into account is what the opposing clubs list is like and are they in dire needs for a good player who wants to play as a midfielder in their team and just maybe they rate him. Its never just "he's a good player, but" or "he's not that good because.......", if the crows don't get Christian then he would be a good fit in the crows midfield but draft pick wise we would get left with nothing worth while, the same with Collingwood and the Demons are in that boat as well unless they traded a player to us and maybe something in next years draft.

I've a feeling that IF Jy does go and IF it was the Bombers who we dealt with then we certainly wouldn't be getting shafted like some of the trades that I've seen on here, its never black & white. Very interesting time period this, there's more cooking here than half a dozen DIM SIMS! Maybe now, its time to get down & dirty.🦹‍♂️

There should be no min TPP.

If you have a list full of shit, you shouldn’t be required to hit a salary floor.

Spend it however you want.

Was Bard close to Jy? Might be one of the deciding factors

When has any of the plonkers we drafted that slid and would have gone much higher ever worked out for us? :p
I understand what your saying but trust me Tas, he's a complete and utter :gun:!

Simpkin & Duursma to *
Pick 5 to Saints
Windhager & Wilson to North

Just do that, please
Why can't we (in this case) swap Duursma for a 2026 R1 and keep Zane!?

Put it out there, if you want Duursmas, we will give you Simpkin and Duursmas for Caddy, and only Caddy. Any typical Essenscum BS and we walk and send Simpkin to the highest bidder.

Grow some aggots.

We can't send Simpkin to the highest bidder. He has to agree to go there unfortunately.
