Depends, let's say for arguments sake that Spargo takes Jy's spot in the team and say we're trading for a player like Windhager / Jack Steele, which is independent of Jy leaving, I'd love to get a pick in a range that we could use on someone like Riley Onley.
Riley Onley = The Fans

Al Clarkson right now.

Okay nuffy mega-trade incoming.

Eagles
Out: Duggan, Ryan
In: Z, Duursma, X. Duursma, RHJ, Fisher

Saints
Out: Steele, Wilson
In: Duggan, Ryan, 20

North
Out: Z. Duursma, RHJ, Fisher, Simpkin, Phillips, 20, 21
In: Steele, Wilson, Caddy

Bombers
Out: X. Duursma, Caddy
In: Simpkin, Phillips, 21
I like this purely because the Bummers get ragdolled

The Simpkin trade has to be for a player that fills a need, trading for draft picks doesn’t help us now.
Unless we link Duursma to it and do a double trade with the Bombers. > Simpkin, Duursma and our F2 for Caddy , one of their 1st Picks and their F2..

Which is why he hasn’t officially requested a trade

I think he knows it’s unlikely also but wants to ask around first

Plus I think even if he did ask there’s a strong chance we hold him to contract anyway

This one I can’t see going anywhere so won’t even discuss potential trade options for
So, we look like entering a critical year with a mid that noone else wants on big $$ and who is clearly unhappy and likely to be sacked as captain. Who is unlikely to lean into the role that the club needs him to play with the specialist wing skills required - including playing defensively or on the quieter wing at times to hold space.
And each year of the next three, he gets less valuable. Its not great. I really think now that he has done this, we should garage sale it and move on. Best price is now - picks or players.

His manager can ask around without it being made public, the fact that it's public is because team Simpkin want it known that he's looking around. North didn't leak this to the media Jy's team did.

And clarksons game plan is holding possession - precision kicking is pretty critical. Jy is a pretty poor user - we need to balance ldu, wardlaw and even parkers mostly avge use so sheezel, fos, colby are pushed in. Even stevens is part of that process.
We get a lot of clearances - we need to add usage in next years to hurt teams outside. Its pretty questionable that Jy does this.

If the Simpkin and Duursma talk is true, this would be an ideal scenario considering most established players don't want to come to us.

I doubt Butts will go for a f3.

Have heard of Dovaston, what's Harley Barker's position and expected draft range?

Around that 8-18 mark. probably would have been higher, but did he ACL 3-4 months ago.

Powerful, tall outside runner who is a big meters gained player. Strong overhead, fantastic ground level player and is a fantastic athlete.

Problem is AFLPA will never agree to it. Dangerfield said not a chance last night. The tail is wagging the dog and the game is falling apart.
The same Dangerfield who took it on himself to declare the issue with Bailey Smith abusing a female photographer closed (while also expressing his concern was with Bailey's wellbeing during the fallout).... he really comes across as someone with the best interests of the game and not his own self interests at heart 🙄
