Is the game on Friday gonna be televised or behined closed doors?
Think its open but highly doubtful they will stream it, we never stream intra clubs

Probably get a few highlight clips on twitter throughout the day

Week after will be on Kayo v WC

I can't post the footage (on the clubs insta) but just saw Sweid absolutely ragdoll Freddy, just brushed him off like he wasn't even there
Tbf to young Adam maybe he thought today’s training session was a final so treated Freddy accordingly ?

Hey guys how is Erasmus looking this preseason? He finished the year off pretty good last year. What sort of role do you think he’ll be playing?

Too early to say but we're hoping he is about to break out. One to watch over the pre season games.

Would love to see him get some more mid time but I imagine Serong, Brayshaw and Young and gonna be in there for the majority.
That is going to be the big risk when it comes to supercoach if that's the purpose of the question. He will rotate through inside mid and wing. He is not part of the first choice midfield, so will rotate in as second choice and get moved around a bit.

There is a bit to play out though as we may find Young plays a real burst role and spend a fair chunk of time forward. This may give Ras more time mid.

Expect Serong and Brayshaw to get the most minutes. After that it's unknown. Reid, Bolton, Young, Erasmus, Johnson, Jackson, JOM will all rotate through. If Jackson takes off as a mid, that will have a negative impact on midfield time for all the others as well.

Freo are in a great position with many options to run through there this year, especially thanks to emergence of Reid, trade in of Bolton, and development of Johnson and Erasmus.

My preseason training is in full swing. I reckon I might even be TTHD. Last night I had a dream that we were spanked in the first couple of rounds. Scratchy slow ball movement out of the back half, shit delivery to the forwards, ball bouncing back out of the forward line like a pinball, Derm's voice ragging on us... I didn't get as far as seeing us improve at all - I woke up in a sweat. Tell me you've been a Freo fan since Day Dot, without telling me you've been a Freo fan since Day Dot. :disrelieved::weary:

It can be a tough gig being a Freo supporter but even tougher when you dream about things that haven't even happened yet. One day at a time is the way to go.

I do recognize my past in what you are saying. The footy has negatively impacted my mood in previous years and impacted my poor wife who has little interest (other than hoping they win so no mood swings from me).

That was unhealthy, so I have actively worked on changing how invested I am in the result and really improved my mood even after a really poor loss. I remind myself that I am privileged and have seen ridiculous amounts of championships from the Scorchers, WA cricket, Wildcats and even Perth footy club when I was a teenager. I also acknowledge that the players and their families are dealing with losses so much more than the average supporter.

I am still involved and write preseason reports for big footy because I am finally retired, but it is for fun now, I watch and always try to see the positive in the players.

Sure I have “slip up’s” occasionally on a really close game but I really have leveled the highs and lows now.

I am traveling the world several times a year, have a great life at home with kids and grandkids. Life is too good (and short) to be down for too long.

Sorry for the essay, but hope you might get something out of the above.

I am off again out of the country tonight so I will wait to see everyone’s thoughts on the SOO and our scratch matches ( no injuries please).

I'm possibly a bit younger than you and didn't grow up in Perth/WA/Australia, but like you I have enjoyed seeing some my teams win their Big Dances respectively and all are just memories now, what I can scratch around and find.

I took my foot off the pedal with footy because of personal stuff that happened last year (some of it I'm still processing and coming to terms with, some it that was a shock to the system) that's really placed life in perspective, and I just don't see it as being important to me anymore. It doesn't stop me hoping and cheering from afar, I'm just not emotionally invested to the point it can wear me down anymore. I hope Freo do it, but if they don't, I won't get stuck in "that place". Hope everyone's doing okay and always remember to do what you love in life, before it gets too late ;)

Compared to a few years ago I really am a whole lot more calm than I used to be - I had to back off for the sake of my anxiety. A loss could ruin the whole day plus the day or two after. Now I might get pissed off briefly but then let it go pretty quickly and go about my day. I found the dream to be more amusing and reflective of 32 years of the rollercoaster than anything more all-consuming.

That said, I hope it was just a dream and not a premonition 😱

I’m the opposite I like when we are meant to be shit. Go through every game expecting a loss and makes wins so much better. Going into this year with a top 4 expectation is going to absolutely suck if we shit the bed again
