OK unfortunatly I am going to be quite busy for the rest of the year, so I won't be able to update super often. But I will try my best to do it when I get time.

Rhyce's consistency hasn't dropped one iota this year. We are half way through the season, and I can't point to any one of his games and say "gee that was a dirty day".
It really wouldn't surprise me to see Racer coming in at second in the Copeland, just behind the little master Medhurst.
He is doing solid jobs on the opposition's stars week in, week out. Yet he is still averaging 22 disposals himself. He is also still sitting at 6th in the league for total marks, which highlights his ability to play a stopping role, but still be able to sneak off and find space.
His blistering speed has been invaluable to the team this year....if ONLY he could bag some of the shots from outside 50 that he has each week!!! His field kicking is perfectly acceptable, but if he is going to continue to play a bit of that Lonie role, of sweeping past and calling for the handball just outside 50, he really needs to work on his accuracy at that range.

Super effort against the Blues, holding the "Juddernaut" well for most of the game. 19 disposals, 6 tackles. I'm pretty sure Judd had sweet FA of the ball up until half time, and Racer was taken off him around that time for some reason.

Against the Bullies, Rhycey had a fair bit of the ball again. He was all over it in the first Q, having 4 scoring shots! But, alas, only one of them sailed through, which ended up costing us as we crumbled with injury and couldn't hold onto our lead for long enough.

haha thanks guys.
I really enjoyed contributing to the buddy board when my schedule allowed for it.
They are like little time capsules, ya know? I just read through the whole thread again, and it brought back great memories of a pretty solid season by the boys, and a wonderful season by Racer.
Looking forward to next seaon even more now!!

yeh. you're right about the time capsules

obviously this thread would be stopped

but lets use rocca as an example, whoever takes him should continue on with the same thread rather than starting a new one.. or is that not how it works?

whatever the case.. dont delete these!

i wish the other posters would start using the buddy threads when they have a specific question or discussion topic about one certain player though. the brisbane and tigers forum do this, and their buddy forums are more active.

Hey skeetz what happened to the buddy draft you were putting together?? can i get my name in? when do you think we can draw so we can choose the buddies.

also, theres a bit of talk to upgrade this mini forum so to put a bit of focus on following the NSW scholarship picks and other potential players for collingwood (eg father/ son selection picks) ... - on top of being a forum for buddy reports.

so we might see more activity around these parts in 09.

thats fitting :D

I thought so too. I guess number 2 is now the official number of Swans who were Pies.

best of luck to him i hope you guys dont end up hating him too much!

Well from a pure statistics point of view he looks quite good. Also in true Swans fashion he gives away more free kicks than he gets which seems to be a requirement to play for our club.
