All four of West Coast's goals must've been kicked on Melican.Assuming no injuries as nobody from last round's game has been mentioned in today's injury report, think it has to be Hamling, Corey Warner omitted and I'd guess as others have said perhaps Lloyd rested for Rampe, Cootee and Edwards.
I like the idea of Paley, Rosas and Cootee as small forwards, buzzing around with more pace and looks more dynamic than we have normally had in those positions.
Melican has gone from second choice key defender to arguably fourth choice in two weeks.
Vice versa I believe. Is he a midfielder by trade being forced into a small foward role, as we always try and do?
Always played midfield/forward .Is he a midfielder by trade being forced into a small foward role, as we always try and do?
Talented boy. I Made my first grade debut v Northcote.Always played midfield/forward .
Once fielded for Victoria in a shield game , Captained the Vics U17's and played at Premier level for Northcote
Plenty of support for him on this board and belief that he will do well, starting tonight. I had the pleasure of watching him last week in the VFL and he definitely gets it done.I am a Norwood supporter in the SANFL who had the pleasure of watching Billy for the past two seasons. Commented a number of times that I couldn't understand why Essendon weren't interested in him. Won Norwood's B&F last season after a brilliant year and it's great to see him get his chance. Prolific midfielder who can go forward and kick goals. I wish him all the best.

Leigh Tudor , i will say it again was the VFL coach and told them to upgrade him , but they are dumbWhy weren't Essendon interested in him?
Because he's good.
This is where there might be a rotation with say a Lloyd or CunnersI hope he gets another game next week (although I'd imagine he'll make way for Heeney) because he was clearly nervous in the first half. Made a lot of errors and was caught out a few times with the quicker pace of the game. His 2nd half was better and I'd like to see him get another chance next week to adapt to the pace of seniors.
We have to cut him some slack as it was his first game but no doubt if Corey Warner had that kind of performance last night the pitchfork brigade would be calling for his head.To be honest that was a pretty underwhelming performance.
Looks like he has some skill, just maybe a little overawed or struggled to adapt to the pace at the top level. To his credit his though 2nd half was a lot better than his 1st so he did improve as the game went on.
He was playing the Corey Warner role, one where it is hard to make an impact and you have to make the most of every half opportunity you get. He muffed his first couple of chances - understandably given it was his first game - but had a few good moments as the game wore on.To be honest that was a pretty underwhelming performance.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as I wrote it.We have to cut him some slack as it was his first game but no doubt if Corey Warner had that kind of performance last night the pitchfork brigade would be calling for his head.
