I haven't really followed any of this but is there a reason TT isn't currently suspended pending the outcotcome of the inquiry?

In my opinion his current absence from the club should be factored into any penalty?
But what is the loss - how do you measure that? Suspensions usually equate to games missed. He hasn't missed any. I get your point but not sure how you can measure the loss.

I don't feel sorry for Thomas. He's not a victim regardless of the penalty or the question of when the offence occurred.

I agree that the woman in question is seemingly acting from a jealous/vindictive position now but her being trashy doesn't excuse Thomas supposed (not supposed to those adjudicating) actions. If his penalty is 10 games he's not a victim, nor are North Melbourne. It might be unfortunate it wasn't dealt with previously/made public by the accuser but ultimately the offence is his and if it is serious it should be treated as such
.
My opinion is that a penalty of 6-10 games is probably right all things considered and based on the reports but if it's more then so be it.

The club has been incredibly supportive of Thomas over previous seasons despite his behavioural issues and the fact that each of the last two seasons there has been talk about him wanting to leave is pretty reflective of his commitment to this club. He'll be gone at seasons end. He owes the club but he's too stupid and arrogant to realise this (imo of course). His manager is also a ****ing snake.

Drug penalties aren't games.

Ben Cousins got a 12 month ban from the AFL

How do you figure out what the penalty should be when you don’t even know what he’s done? Please share if you do know.

pretty similar to the last 400 pages or so, nobody knows anything but will confidently state opinions and assumptions as brass tacks

Based on what has been shared publicly previously (the stuff from last year) and reporting of what this involves it doesn't take a genius to figure it out but good on you if you think that sort of stuff is normal.

Pretty much. Plenty of 'in the know' ready to suggest the bans being touted but my two contacts don't know the details of the accusations but reckon they have heard the likely suspensions. We will see soon. I just hope he hasn't been dumb enough to repeat offend at the level that ends his career.

Update - according to a NM person (outsider now) the club is bracing for a 10-12 weeker. My other source is still saying potential deregistration. I suppose the common link is a substantial suspension.
If your sources are wrong, you need to punch them in the face for spreading vicious racist lies about a young aboriginal boy..
