2nd 22

As there has been much debate Freo and West Coast 2nds playing in the WAFL, I thought I put together my 2nd 22 if Freo was at full strength. Hence I have included injured players either playing AFL or WAFL.

Would be interesting to see what Freo's team would shape up as. I have included all the rookies because you can't elevate rookies if no LTI.

Forster is a backman and you've got him in the emergencies, while Roberts, who is a forward is in the backline.

Pearce isnt listed as a rookie. isn't he main list now? Ie: Spurr has been elevated, but is shown still as a rookie on the teams lists.

You might as well be realistic and swap Dawson for SNOS, seeing as how Dawson is playing firsts and SNOS is, you know, playing reserves.

Clancee even though he is upgraded at the end of the season will go on our rookie list again. Its up to Freo to upgrade him at the National Draft such as Lower last season.

Roberts was training this season as a backmen doing the kick out at training. Thats why I have listed him in the backline. I placed Forster as emg. cause he hasn't managed to train with Freo so far. Both him and Michie could push some of the players out.

I was after peoples opinions on how Freo 2nds would go against the WAFL teams and the Eagles 2nds if they had the chance to enter the WAFL.

I'm not overly familiar with the strength of the WAFL teams but that looks like a pretty competitive unit to me.

Quite a few guys there who are a class above WAFL level. Put them all in one team and it'd be pretty strong.

10 players on the injury list.

Even at the start of the year we had 6 players on the injury list, which is our best start to the year in how long?

Interesting to see what WC WAFL team looks like compared to ours.

Thats a lot better than our second 22 in previous years. The amount of dead wood we had particularly when Harvs took over was incredible.

Most of the people on that list you would expect to be pushing top 22 at some point.

With a very strong draft coming up one wonders where we will cut as well, particularly given that almost all our rookies are showing such huge promise (Pearce, Spurr, Menagola, Jordan Wilson).

One would think Pearce will get a permanent upgrade.

If Roberts can´t get his body right I am afraid he will get cut. Harsh, but thats the way it is.

Grover to retire.

Crichton will probably go if he doesn´t crack a game. Ditto Van Berlo. Keps may even be offloaded.

Maybe 3 new spots on the list for this draft.

We will probably trade out one or two also in our efforts to get into the mini draft or improve our draft position.
