Player Watch #32 Tomas Bugg - Departing MFC

Just to be clear: when you say "pretty ordinary", you mean "outstanding", right?

Watts said everyone plays better and with more confidence with Bugg in the team. I'm inclined to agree with this statement. Watts has turned into a complete spud without him around, Petracca & Salem have also degenerated noticeably.

Could be a coincidence, but I don't think so.

Sounds like we should make him the mascot.

Bugg must play. To line up on this muppet

I think Goody said he'd almost certainly be back through VFL.

If it's true that Viney's foot needs a rest... Bugg would be ready made to play ANB's forward role, allowing ANB to take more of a clearance role?

I was thinking more along the lines of captain, personally.

Ill always love Bugg for his arm raise to the Tigers but he just got shown up by James Ablett Harmes and Mitch Gray Hannan
The way the Saints were playing on Sunday a forward line of M Jones, Blease and Georgiou would have dominated.

I'd look at Maynard to fill Viney's boots temporarily, iff Viney couldn't play.

Bugg to play a blinder in the VFL then in rnd 23 to set a new world record for tearing Collingwood a new @rsehole and taunting the filth behind the goals.

Touted as a future finals star, he gets lynched as he exits the arena.

I plan to copy this to Schmuttt's sure thing thread for round 23.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the club's internal policy but it would be a strange thing to say publicly I reckon.

I would be, 6 weeks was over kill for his action. He needs to earn his spot like anyone else but a blanket policy wouldn't make sense to me

Crazy as it sounds, but we've played like a hat full of bustard assholes since he got suspended.

He's the difference!

Have noticed that our best period for the season came in late May, June. We've played like hat full of busted arseholes since.

We're End of Financial Year specialists!

Finally someone is making sense around here!

Huge fan of the word "bustard" too, by the way.

Names at CHB at Casey this weekend. Should be a good role for him to prove himself for a call up.
Players of Tomas' class excel in any position.

With Frost out of favour and Melksham and T'Mac holding down forward spots, we are a bit light in the backline.

I assume Bugg's in the VFL to shake off the cobwebs and give our developing players game time against deplorable opposition. I can't wait to see which position he dominates against Collingwood.

24 touches 12 tackles and 0.2 for Casey.

Admittedly I think it was a scrappy/high tackle count game (JKH 19 tackles also) but still good numbers.

Should still be hard for him to get back but if players drop form but at least we have a little bit of depth again.

He was understandably rusty, see how he goes next week

It frustrates me the most because he was finally playing some pretty good footy up until then.
