He did play footy in 2020.

But it’s pleasing nonetheless.
indeed, it's noticeable that the kids who did get some footy in 2020 are those picked, and Phillips is still building. In the long term, it will be interesting to see how the entire 2020 draft was effected by the lockdown, ie those who played in SA and WA vs the majority of Vic kids - you'd assume losing a whole season must have some impact on their development

Cameron & Gaudion were club greats in their time.

What the fu**? Why would we tell him he's debuting if he's the medical sub? I know it counts as a game but that's bullshit. I'd be gutted if i was him.

Same mindset that has Connor Downie in the same spot for Hawthorn.

Ludicrosity at its shitty best.

This is for all clubs.
If you're gonna give a player their debut game, don't make them the sub.

What an interesting time we live in.

I wonder if given the choice that Lazzaro would forgo a debut to be named in the 22 or if he is happy to officially be an AFL player?

Like others I think if it’s your debut, you should be in the 22, but welcome to footy in 2021.

I am a but surprised Bonar wasn’t given the sub duties given his limited preseason?

It’s a bit s**t hoping Lazzaro gets on the field knowing it means someone is injured.

I reckon a kid would just be happy to take on any role asked.

Reckon he comes in for mcdonald and menadue is the sub

This is the logical option, Menadue is a runner so make way more sense as a sub.
