Seems like we're going alright! Anyway the score we have is almost a match winner against Pakistan. :D

Matthew Hayden .. i've been calling the praises of this boy for years!! Always feel on deaf ears, and was always laughed at when merely 'suggesting' his worth.

Now he is proving everyone wrong. He is as solid as a rock!!

Queenslander!!! :)

Give a man a wrap ...

... Hayden out (for 89) by a freakish catch @ short leg

Aus 2/190

Australia going well!:D

After 85 overs 3/298

Ponting on 142
S. Waugh on 33

:D

stumps... bad light at 85.3 overs

3/298

Ponting 142
S.Waugh 33

best score of the series for both of them...

Welcome back for Day 2...

Ponting brings up his 150, Steve Waugh 34.

This would have to be the best chance Ponting will ever get to record a double ton.

Damien Martyn got a beauty from Waqar first up and was out for a golden duck. Gilchrist and Steve Waugh are at the crease now.

Go Aussies!!

Damien Martyn and Justin Langer have hid a hard patch. They haven't done much in their past half a dozen tests now.

The batting lately seems to be relying on Hayden Ponting and Gilly.

Langer was looking pretty good in the last test before being run out off a dropped catch. Couldn't get much unluckier than that!

Martyn made 60-something in first Test I think?

But both of them could use a big score.

Unfortunately, on recent form, they may not get a second dig here.

Nothing major just yet, although Martyn's isn't looking good at all (although he did get a 133 (1st Test in SAF) and 117 (3rd Test v SAF in AUS) in the 2 innings's before this run ou bad form), but its something to keep in mind coming into the ashes series. These two will need to turn it around or expect the media to jump on their backs.
