Maybe genetics. If you've seen the all blacks play you can see their Maori and islander players are unbelievable athletes. Great strength and power - I wonder if he played a bit of league when he was younger - the don't argue/fend off looks like a rugby move to me and he's always done it

not saying this isn't the case but the All blecks are a rugby team not a league team

Can anyone on here out their big nuts on the line and say dusty is staying or going? None of this rubbish talk anymore. It's simple someone either knows or has no idea
staying.....

The club are happy for him to take his time so they must be pretty confident. All this if dh is sacked dusty and rioly will be gone is all talk. Money talks this days. They will be here as one club player's.

how did Rioli get dragged into this?

Hope this has some truth to it, don't know how reliable Jake Niall or Fox Sports are but Saints were one the teams that seemed hot on the idea

There's a few ways to look at this. The first is Martin is close to signing, so therefore some clubs will look elsewhere.
Another prevailing view may be the saints know he is worth around $850k and have offered say $900-$950k to put a squeeze on us or possibly jag him. Their issue maybe Ralphy baby asking for $1.1 to $1.2 million. So they say **** off Ralphy baby.
The other thing could be the actual compo cost to get him over. They burn two high picks and a massive chunk of salary cap space and nek minnit he's in jail for stabbing Germaine Greer with a chopstick.
So in short, it's complicated and sensitive.

I take it on face value that a lot of clubs won't be prepared to fork out 1m + . Especially thise with emerging lists. Only takes one though and there are few clubs with retiring stars that have created space to launch an assault, my spider senses. tell me coll and Carl fit that bill. I also reckon the rfc has left some on the table with first offer
If we can get back on the rails and compete for a finals spot , which I believe we can , he ll stay

I reckon most clubs would still be too chicken to take him. A foreign environment on a massive ticket and the pressure that goes with it ...he feels a bit lost. Back to his mate Connors and all hell breaks loose.
Wouldn't touch him.
I suspect the biggest offers would be from likes of freo and lions , he won't go interstate , he s a painfully shy fella. Heck I know people like that that don't even like going on holiday , I think we re in good position provided we can pick up from where we left off in 2015

Thank you very much for your explanation. I'd still love to hold on to my belief that Dusty is super strong. Maybe he is super strong and has great timing re: fend off and shrugs. Anyway, he's a superhero in my books ;)
Lots of love, Belle.
Dusty is super strong and has superior balance which makes him even stronger.

He will become a superhero when he starts fending off opposition players into their teammates creating even more space !!!

Then he will be the greatest.

PS I love Dusty:p:p

Would love Dusty to sign tomorrow, but I have a feeling he's waiting to see how we fare this season before he puts pen to paper. Hopefully we get off to a strong start and inspire him to stay

Ehhh, I'm not in that school of thought. If that was the case, I think that's something he would just come out and say. Jon Ralph shot his load too early and now the media are scampering to try and get something verbatim from Dusty/Ralph.
Fyfe has come out and said he won't be discussing his contract until the end of the year...

That's what I believe , as he would be aware should we have a chronic year like 2016, the place would be tipped upside down, in which case it may just rock his world enough to consider options elsewhere. Get back on track and we re right

will Richmond go down the Fyfe path with Dusty - give him a leadership role, show him how much the club needs him, and roll out a massive contract. If the Tigers think that they can pay less than $850,000/year for dusty, they are dreaming. $3.5M-$3.8M over 4 years + massive bonuses for a Brownlow, AA and premierships and lock him down for his prime years.

According to Jon Ralph.Dusty has been offered $6mil over 6 years by a Vic club,But according to his manager Dusty wants to wait until at least halfway thru the season.Experts think thats a wait and see how we are travelling in regards to this year and beyond. But will re-sign if we are playing well.
