Congratulations Collingwood on a brilliant win....

That 3rd quarter blitz was sensational. My voice is gone...

We look very good guys & should be very proud of our boys...:thumbsu:

Let's make it 5 in a row against the Blues...:D

Good win today...thought Harry O'Brien was excellent. Shut down some Port charges into attack and looked better with the football than last week.

Our next month will give us a better indication of where we are really at. Blues, West Coast, Geelong and Dogs is a good challenge.

Get past the Blues next week and look out for the top of the table clash in Subiaco the following week!

You took the words out of my mouth,Collingwoodrow.
The next month is so important for us.
Hopefully we win next week,so it is a top of the ladder clash with West Coast.
I'll be looking forward to going to that, but it will be a huge challenge for the boys to knock the Eagles of their perch over here.
But jeez,it would be great if we did. We've copped a hiding every time I've gone and watched them play over here for the last few years.
I'd love to be able to give it back to my Eagle's mates.

Can I suggest you sit this one out then!:thumbsu:

I guess we should keep our minds focused on Carlton. Nothing worse than being 4-1, unbackable favorites against Carlton and lose.

We are 4-1, Last year we finished 4-18, we have got a great few months ahead of us. A tough month though coming up...could be 4-5 at the end of it, we will more than likely lose next week, if we win, then I will come off my leash :)

Mike, last year we won five games. :p

Everything is looking very nice indeed. I am really excited on how good we run out matches after half time, especially the quality of football played in the "premiership quarter". The work done at altitude has paid off.

I am hoping we give Carlton a good hiding next week. Go Pies! :thumbsu:

Pies looked good today. I was up the 2nd tier, behind the goals, Port Cheer Squad end. They soon shut thier cakehole's in the third quarter, absolute bliss.

As some of you have said, the next month is important and indeed it is, we should beat Carlton by going on our form. Anyone got the stats I think thats the first time in 2 years we have won more then 3 in a row, so its looking good, the signs are good so far winning in a blockbuster game such as ANZAC day, and overcoming our 3 in a row hoodoo I think its very promising,

I think we have set ourselves up nicely to have a good crack at the next month with Westcoast Geelong and Dogs coming up. I think we might have the best shot at Westcoast then some of the other teams in the comp at Subi. But this is important month so lets hope our boys again stand up and be counted and overcome what many would consider the near impossible.

CARN THE PIES!!

We won five last year. How can we possibly lose to Carlton?

Doing some trawling on a Port site and here is what a port supporter said "The first thing I'll say is that apart from a 10 minute lapse at the beginning of the third quarter, we actually played pretty well. But let's look at the reality here: we were playing a far superior side.".
Haha I love it!

Pretty good contest with Lade.
Richards shows glimpses of brilliance with his sublime taps but more often than not gets tap outs to noone.
Fraser's hitout to advantage ratio is good, but then again doesn't get that many hitouts.
I thought Fraser was in our best still, Frasers run was excellent.

i reckon he had an okay game.

his disposal in the early stages was terrible though. he missed at least 4 or 5 simple targets, but he did get better as the game went on.

Re: 5 in a row, can we make it 6?

Very possible IMO.

Eagles are a class act & almost unbeatable at home. The game will not be won in the midfield. If Heater, Johnno & O'Brien can pump the ball inside 50 enough times (of course with the support from Clement & Co?, we are in for a real show.

Thoughts?
