It’s a joke if cameron gets in
Did nothing for a large chunk of this year

Again the end to our year will hurt him but he could snag a place on the bench
I think the problem is that they've made this squad with 5 key forward and him the only true medium, so it's easy to see that Larkey gets in ahead of him as his direct competitor.

I’d have larkey in a pocket like the year Joe made it and langers on the bench.

So something like
Rozee Walker petracca
Greene Curnow larkey

Larkey deserves to start on the field imo

I think Greene will be on the flank, Cameron pocket and Rozee bench tbh

3AW interview:

To be honest I think after the bye we probably let ourselves down. but you know we played some unbelievable footy in the first half of the year and that's kind of our recipe for success and that's what we've gotta be looking at moving forward. But yeah there was some pretty raw emption in the rooms just before and we have a lot to work on, both on and off the field. It's pretty disappointing, obviously the first quarter this week but the rest of the 3 quarters we were pretty happy with and obviously last week we weren't happy at all. Pretty shit feeling.
I'm not sure exactly because I was absolutely gob-smacked last week and then obviously the first quarter this week it's just one of those things, you don't prepare for it and when it happens it hits you straight between the eyes. I think as a group we have so much to work on and there's no worse feeling than going into the off-season like this, it's just going to sit in everyone's guts and you know it really does hurt.
To be honest I probably can't give you the answer. It's just I felt like we played some really good football, Port Adelaide at Adelaide and some really good football. Probably just the last month really has really let us down personally I've got no idea. But I'll be searching for answers and I'll be asking Scotty what the go is because I think we were sitting fifth or sixth at one stage. So yeah, it's pretty shit.
I'm not really sure (about whether the ball movement is problematic), you know I got on the end of a couple but I just couldn't bloody kick straight this week. I think the way we move our ball is we want that fluidity, we want some flow on the ball, we want that momentum coming through it. I think the kicking around, once we're in the corridor we try to go forward, but at times I think we do muck around a bit too much. but these are the things we're going to work on and no doubt Scotty will work on it throughout the off-season. We really need a good pre-season.
Absolutely not (no off-season surgery), I'm fit and healthy and ready to keep going.

Club website interview (quotey bits):

We’re largely disappointed with the year. Although there were a lot of positives throughout the first 15 rounds, the last month has really let us down and unfortunately that’s what you’ll remember the most. We have a lot of things that we need to think about over the next few weeks as to why the season panned out the way it did.
It's bitterly disappointing that we’re not still playing into September. We reiterated on Friday night that we now have an opportunity to commit to the off-season and all the things we need to improve on. We’re challenging the group not to leave anything to chance We were pretty stern in issuing that challenge to each other going forward.
Although I’ve obviously got the fruits of my labour a bit this year, I feel like I have been building over the past few years and setting some great things in place. I had another interrupted pre-season block this year, but the building blocks were there on account of my off-season which allowed me to go out and play some free football.
I played in multiple positions early in the year, but it was just the confidence and belief that ‘Scotty’ (Senior Coach Brad Scott) gave me which allowed me to play with that freedom this year. I wasn’t expecting to play forward, but it is a massive strength of mine to be adaptable and versatile to any position, that’s what’s allowed me to play my 130 games so far.
A lot of my feedback over the last few years was around just how hard it is to review your consistency in games when you’re constantly being thrown around between different positions. For me, playing as a deep forward it was very easy to put a system in place and be consistent week in and week out. The process of reviewing the craft aspect and playing that one position just allowed me to hone in, rather than really not knowing where you’re going to end up on the day. When it gets to those big moments, I’m not one to shy away because I know I’ve got the bank of work behind me.
Even when I have games like Friday night where I’m not kicking straight, I still want the ball and I want to give it a go. It’s the way it is, but doing the work allows you have that confidence in your game.
I’ve had a bunch of niggles this year, so for me it’s about getting those right and providing myself the best opportunity to attack pre-season.
At the end of the off-season, there’ll be a group of us going to Phoenix, Arizona for a training camp just focusing on different elements of training. It’ll be about taking away those learnings and implementing them into your own schedule once you get back. It’s been a tough year and a long year, but I’m hungrier than I’ve ever been. I see what this group is capable of and I’m really excited to get back and challenge each other to be the best team we can be.

Speaks like a leader. Very pointed with what he said about its so much harder to review and improve your game when you’re constantly being moved around. At least we can say now there’s a fair group of players that actually do give a shit and are dying for success, be interesting to see which boys are going to Arizona

Extremely surprised by that
Hasnt really been front and centre in his career, but thats an ideal VC for me just from those reflections.

Essendon embark on self-funded players only training camp driven by 'hard conversations"
Essendon players have taken their destiny into their own hands as a group of more than 15 players head to the US to undertake a high altitude training camp in Arizona, in hopes of ending the club's 20-year finals win drought

There's probably a group of 16, 17 of us going over that will really kickstart our pre season.
The old Essendon "at least..." press release strikes again

The old Essendon "at least..." press release strikes again
So younger players who maybe can’t afford it can’t go?
