Something like thatApart from the hammy this year he hasn't had that many injuries I think.
Missed 6 games last year with a couple of hammies? (Lore?)
Missed 1 the year before
Think he got dropped once the year before, but played most games
One? Injury in 2018
Mostly played VFL in his first 3 years

Spot on. He is a utility which is so important when you have a lot of missing pieces from injuries. He is really needed up forward at the moment.I'm fine with this. I can't see him not being in our top 15 players over that period at absolute worst. I rate him higher personally and I also think he's a type of player we have too little of (Bigger bodied, can mark the ball forward and chip in for a few goals whilst being versatile enough to play various roles).
Its one of the reason Stringer being out has hurt so much is that this bloke has also been out the entire season.
I remember that time he left the ball behind and jogged to the benchRemember that time ppl got angry cos he was handed #4
Signs on for 4 and we love it.
On the train for my boy to be next captain.
It's Dyle Longfark, not some no-name player.Wow. What on earth is going on with this joint.
Is our list on such bad shape that we give four years .
hilarious and horrific as this moment was, publicly doing something very dumb and embarrassing can be a pretty powerful impetus to straighten up and get one's shit together and he's been solid since.I remember that time he left the ball behind and jogged to the bench
Not sure what ppl want from him
No current season stats available
Pepperidge farm doesn't remember very well.4 years?!
I remember a time when eyebrows were raised at giving mark mercuri a 4 year deal...

Yep you are correct, it was 5 years, I stand corrected.Pepperidge farm doesn't remember very well.
It was 5 years and he got it when he was in the form of his life so nobody thought it a bad deal. Then some stuff happened and he became a shell of himself by 2004.

Any long term deals still make me very nervous as a result of that (very sad) experience. Especially for 'solid' players like Langford...
Just a reminder of what Langford was doing last year as a winger in comparison to Amon. For posterity, Ed Langdon's stats in those areas last year:Langford is nearly everything you want from an offensive wing. Compare him to the best wing of this year in Karl Amon:
20.8 vs 23.6 disposals
5.8 vs 5.9 marks
0.8 vs 0.5 goals
3.2 vs 4.7 inside 50's
0.4 goal assists apiece
0.5 vs 0 contested marks
0.8 vs 0.2 marks inside 50
1.1 vs 2.4 rebound 50's
5.5 score involvements apiece
Langford on the left and Amon on the right. I'm not saying Langford is as good as Amon, because he quite obviously isn't, but he's doing what you want as a winger. He's made the grade, and if anybody disagrees after the last two years he's produced I suspect they're watching a different game.
He was my favourite player, he was so close to his brother he could never get back to the same mindset he had prior to his loss. A good reminder that these players are just human with their own lives and issues.Pepperidge farm doesn't remember very well.

I think he already had a good grasp on those things but you’re right this should only have helped.Has spent what? 10 weeks on the bench and listening to coaches.
When he does make it back we should have a senior player with a really good grasp of what the coaches are asking and hopefully a good understanding of where others are going wrong.
Could be huge for his onfield leadership.
Amon was very good last year.Just a reminder of what Langford was doing last year as a winger in comparison to Amon. For posterity, Ed Langdon's stats in those areas last year:
21.8 disposals, 5.4 marks, 0.5 goals, 2.8 inside 50's, 0.2 goal assists, 0.2 contested marks, 0.5 marks I50, 2.1 rebound 50's, 4.2 score involvements
And this year:
23.2 disposals, 4.5 marks, 0.5 goals, 3.3 inside 50's, 0.3 goal assists, 0 contested marks, 0.4 marks I50, 2 rebound 50's, 4.3 score involvements
Stats wise he's not too far off the best wingers in the game.
