Yeah, time's up on his run. Needs to prove himself in the VFL if he wants to get back in. I want to get a look at Payne or rejig the forward line somehow.

He's never going to be a player that accumulates possessions, but gee he works hard to put pressure on. He's Kayne Turner but extremely clean whenever he gets the ball.

Might end up a whipping boy while we're bad, but get used to him because he's going to be a fixture for a few years

Geezuz. You are as allergic to the correct call as AFL house! Lol
He's no good!

This.

Dead set, his last four games:

5 disposals, two tackles, one behind
6 disposals, two tackles, one behind
4 disposals, three tackles, one goal
8 disposals, one tackle, one goal.

He's got the ball 10 or more times twice, and kicked multiple goals once. In half of his games this year he's failed to kick a goal (lucky he got one junk goal v Carlton when the game was over)

That's absolutely not good enough. Tough and classy? ****ing lol that's peak delusion.

EXTENSION COMING FOR NEW ROO

JACOB Konstanty was starved of opportunities in his two seasons at Sydney, but after playing every game to start life at North Melbourne, the small forward is about to trigger a new deal for 2026.

The 20-year-old moved to Arden Street on a one-year deal last October after being included in the same trade that sent veteran midfielder Luke Parker to Arden Street on deadline day.

Konstanty was selected at pick 20 in the 2022 AFL Draft but was stuck in the queue at the Swans and played 23 VFL games during his time in New South Wales.

Alastair Clarkson handed him a debut against the Western Bulldogs in round one and has kept picking the pressure forward.

After being the Kangaroos’ lowest profile recruit last year – they also recruited premiership players Jack Darling and Caleb Daniel – Konstanty has played the first eight games of 2025 and is adding an aggressive edge to North Melbourne. – Josh Gabelich

good

I think he's worth an extra year for sure, is finding his way on an AFL side and brings a bit of anger. Might still spend stints in the VFL but he's still a kid, they don't get spat out into the system as guns.

Yep. Young players are going to be consistently inconsistent, whether it be Jacob, Riley or RHJ.
He might need a stint in the VFL after playing 8 games in a row at AFL intensity, but the longer break might do him some good this week if he stays in.

I agree with the sentiment but I'd say for North, Konstanty has been very consistent.

Consistently poor that is.

I don't necessarily care about him being on the list next year, but I don't like how we use triggers in players contracts.

Showed signs he could pop up in the right spots when we moved the ball efficiently and effectively.

Think he's capable of giving us 30-40 goals a season along with his defensive pressure, which no one else really offers at the moment.

He offers probably less than Kayne Turner. We’ve legit just replaced him.

He offers pressure, sure, but they all should be. He’s been invisible for weeks now and offers nothing much.

Who comes in for him though? **** knows haha

To get 30-40 goals in a year, he'd first need to get 30-40 possessions

He’s kicked 5 goals for the year and is on track for about 15.

It isn’t inconceivable we’ve only moved the ball well 5 times in 8 games I guess, but it you look at him and think 30-40 goals then we are looking at completely different ****ing players.

He’s rubbish. But looks like he’s trying so there’s that.

What pressure? Perceived pressure? I was on Konstantys side.. he shows mongrel, I like it but he really isn’t doing anything.
I wonder if we added Payne to help him adding pressure will improve Konstanty because it seems that he is the only one chasing in the forward line but needs help.

Our forwards are like statues , stand around like stale bottles of piss then to compound matters mids just bomb it in.

Last night collingwood put josh daicos forward. He was moving around and withing 3 minutes had 3 shots on goals from leading up and mids lowering eyes and hitting him up.

You dont need an enigma machine to see how crap our forward structures are.

Yep. By far the biggest disconnect between two areas of the ground experienced by any team.

If we had the coaching nous of Collingwood and our players didn't run around like they'd just met each other at a piss-up the night before, we'd look really ****ing good. But alas, it's not to be

I was thinking about Hawthorn too. Where's the "superstar"?

They have some very good players but a good number of foot soldiers yet there they are most weeks having a crack because of their team cohesion.

Simple handball. That kick was telegraphed all the way from ****ing Mawson Station.

Stephens would've cut in, with time, and sent it into a more dangerous spot. Seriously, are we never gonna be out of the woods with these moronic moments from our forwards
