hence me posting about terror stats was something that I did out of interest not to defend a position.

and you ask why I raised “far right” attacks - because I’m not defending them - they are abhorrent. why would anyone?

cabinet positions need to be less about profile and reward for patronage, esp with the way the congress will look in 2021

AOC is a one term congresswoman, and she has done very well at engaging with the community and being a talisman for change.

the issue is she is yet to be someone who has delivered legislative change. Its a very different skill, because it involves the ability to find allies in congress, make compromises, and deliver legislation that still meets its relevant needs.

Bernie has a very good history on this, which shows its not about "not" being a progressive. She is young and she needs to learn.

just look at the tea party morons. great at russling the jimmies and getting people fired up and passionate, but useless at legislating and governing. worst thing the progressive movement could do right now is follow their idiotic steps.

I'd like to see Sanders and Warren rewarded with cabinet spots, but there is concern apparently that the Vermont and Mass governors will replace their senate seats with republicans

as mentioned above, both he and warren were in pre-election discussions. with the senate not falling to the dems, there is the view that they cannot risk losing more seats.

both vermont and mass have GOP governors, and there is a strong likelihood they would replace both with GOP politicians
