I thought he was going to be better. He is alot slower than what I thought he was.

But I'm still backing him in. With the backing starting to click, he'll look better.

The dude is small and ain’t overly quick. As such it is his defensive side that is of greatest concern. He can’t spoil and gets out bodied. The angst directed at him has been compounded by the fact that his disposal has let him down. His recruitment has to be one of the most baffling in the Rawling era. Not just for the type of player he is but for the price we paid to recruit him. :stern look

The angst is around how much we gave up for him

If we gave a future third for him I’d be fairly neutral on him

The only reason he looked better last night was because he didn’t have much of the pill.

Less chance to do his stupid blind runs into traffic and attempt to punt it to a mismatch contest or turn it over with a 30m kick.

With Sheez back there now, Fisher offers more than Daniel because he at least has some zip and can kick it more than 40m.

Absolutely horrendous recruiting.

I mentioned on here a while back you can't have Fischer and Daniel in the same team. Love the way Hardeman has come on, he's quick, he can hit a target, and he can defend one on one. Goater should be back soon.....Im starting to wonder if there is 1 spot in the side that you can raffle between Daniel, Scott, Tucker, and Fisher.

++ Fisher as well. They are both not natural defenders, can’t defend, win their own ball and are both masters of the give’n’go to get to their 25-30 touches of nothingness.

Put me in the play him forward camp, doesn't look like being dropped any time soon, and maybe his distribution there might be under a little less pressure, and that last kick into the F50 job is definitely vacant, it aint like he's never played as a forward.

Deep in the fourth with less than 70 seconds left he takes a full 10 seconds to wind up and drill a 35m dart to a contest, which results in a turnover and Chom is forced (again) to take a difficult pack mark to start a counter (which he does immediately through the switch).

I struggle with this man and have for a lonnnnnng time. Whatever value he had/has is rapidly diminishing and I’d rather we play a Fisher type who actually has a bit of pace.

I think the coaches need to stop telling him he's the quarterback and just get him to earn his spot. I can't remember which commentator called it (Healy?) but in his attempts to be the distributor he's calling for handball receives where he's completely blind as to what's ahead of him.

I think they need to tell him he's been fairly shit for a while now. And to stop being fairly shit. Not sure why he kicks out from FB when he can't kick the ball 35 metres. That fyi isn't helping us.

Hardeman can kick the ball 60 metres, if we're taking it on , take it on with someone who can kick it.

Like listening to the roundabout argument on the CCJ thread.

And my favourite … Daniel cost us pick 3 this year because we could have had Whitlock anyway.

Can we put that in the thread title so we don’t have to hear about it for the next 3.5 years?
